Indeed, which is idiotic. Obsesses about cutting off Verstappen giving Hamilton the chance to shoot ahead. Even if Vettel didn't crash out, Hamilton would have gained a lot by Vettel moving aside.

This is not how F1 works... From P1 you always wamt to defend that Position.

What are you talking about? There was no chance at all for Hamilton to pass Vettel in that situation. Hell, he didn't even pass him WITH the crash included.

Just send Vettel and Kimi packing and sign Ricciardo and somebody else have competent. Fucking shitbags, my god. Such a great position to take a good step towards the championship and they do this.

My boy just won his 4th championship. Should've been his 5th, but we're not really complaining. Thank you Kimi, you fucking moron.

And it's wet too. Ric will never catch him in these conditions.

He did what every single driver does from pole: block your direct opponent. Direct opponent in that case was Verstappen. He might have lost P1 to Max if he would have just stayed on the right side of the track.

Yeah, should have known what happened two rows behind him instead of defending against the second.

What does Vettel want? Win the championship or win the race? He goes to the side to block Verstappen but that leaves the lane open for Hamilton who would have been close without the accident as well.

What do you think Hamilton will do in this race? Try to win no matter what or let someone pass him when necessary and come in second?

Noooooooooooo one is going to want to be the first to go to slicks (in however long). They've got, what, 4 sets of inters per car? I think we're going to need them.

Ridiculous that McLaren make Honda look awful again by failing to build a car that can survive being speared into by a wayward Red Bull...

Aiii

So not worth it
It's insulting how you act like this was your first race. Leading car defends its position against the second in a completely normal move seen in every race start this season.

Not when the car is fully next to you.

The only one being insulting is you, we are done.

You don't cover against a car which you can't even see. This is not your first race.

Hamilton started from P5. How on earth would anyone know what's going on behind you in the spray after 200 metres?

It is the one car he needs to care about. Verstappen doesn't pose a threat to his actual goal: the championship. Especially because he is supposed to have the faster car than Verstappen. It was terrible, terrible move, and at least he is paying for it.

First and foremost? Win the fucking race! Vettel doesn't play 7 dimensional chess. He tries to stay P1 at the start, that's all, He can't within a couple of seconds think about where Hamilton might or might not be. He has ZERO clue where Ham is at that point and how his move might or might not affect Hamilton. Winning means 25 points vs. 18 on P2. So even if Lewis won two places due to Vets move, it's still a win for Vettel to do that.

I don't think it's necessarily any single driver's fault, but let's be real; Ferrari shouldn't have been in a position where something like this could happen.

nekkid

It doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan.

lol
Woke up to Alonso having to retire the car.
C'mon man
He's excused today. Took a solid hit in the first turn, the bottom of the car was damaged/dragging on the track. Any F1 car with that kind of damage would be retired after seeing how badly it affects it.
