Has anyone else seen this? Seems crazy to me that it’s in there.
So you like mdma ? ❤💖💗💙💚💛💜🖤💟

That there's a Stardrop at that festival? Or that someone put "MDMA" as their favorite thing?

(The Stardrop text references your favorite thing put in at character creation)

that is a Stardrop that is what it does this is one of the legit ways to get one I think there are 14 in world if I remembered the wiki correctly

Well now we all know what you put as your favourite thing at the beginning of the game.

Hahaha that makes sense thanks guys. My friend actually sent this to me, guess I learnt something about her 😬

Anyone figure out how to put a tackle or bait on the fishing rods?

I read you select the bait, then hover over the fishing rod and press Y but that doesn't seem to be working.

I'm currently trying to put bait/tackle on the Iridium Rod.

I've had to Google so many things of how to control this game. How to use gates. How to use tackle. Etc. I find myself not so bothered because i like the game so much but it's really not a good thing.

A lot of that stems from being designed for PC first. With KB/M it's really obvious how to do most of that, but mapping it all to a controller makes it clear that it wasn't designed with one in mind.

I'm happy with my progress so far:

Summer, Saturday 27th
$60,000+
More than 2/3 of the Community Center restored
Silo is built
Farm is cleared of excesive trees, stumps and rocks
Iron Tools and Watering Can
Copper Hoe
Got to Level 50 in the mines

In the fall I'm going to spend more time on friendships and building buildings in my farm. i also need to reach the levels in the mine so I can get some gold ores. I need to start building some quality sprinklers, to save time and energy on watering my crops.

Just started this game and I love it. I havnt done much reading on the game so I’m playing it without any real instruction. With that in mind, there is no “Game-over” is there? Like you can’t mess up so badly that you have to start over? I’m not seeing anything yet that gives me that impression.

What year are you? If you are Year 1, then i'm crazy impressed with how much of the community center you have restored.

How do I get rid of weapons? Is there anywhere to sell them? I have a bunch of swords and clubs taking up room in my chest

The Adventure’s Guild will buy them. The house just right of the Mines.

Or just like... build another chest. I have like 10 chests on my farm right now. You only need to chop two trees to get enough lumber.

Year 1. I'm a Stardew PC vet. I've been lucky with drops in the mines getting me Fall/Winter items. Basically it's the seasonal fruit and fish that are holding me back. That and I still need to get some farm animals, so I can start getting milk, and stuff. I won't likely get it 100% done until Summer, Year 2. The fruit trees are the time (and wallet) killers.

Am I missing things to do in the winter? Seems like such a lull without farming. I fish, mine, talk to people every day, just want to make sure there's not something else I could be doing with all my free time.

And by talk to people I mean court Emily. Why? Because if I marry Emily and she moves in with me, then Haley will have to fend for herself. No more freeloading off of her sister. That's what she gets for rejecting my potato gift.

Winter, before you get the greenhouse...think of it as time to level up all the other shit instead of farming. Go fish, fight, mine, romance, do bundles if you can, level up your tools.

Hmm. I've been doing a ton of mining and fishing in spring and summer. Maybe I should save some of that for winter and focus exclusively on farming this fall...

I just hit level 85 in the mine and I really want to get that red quartz for the bundle. It's the last thing I need to repair the mine cart and I want to finish that asap. Any advice on how to get it? Can I go down to level 80 in the elevator, take the stairs to 81, then leave if it's not there and try again?

I think it's good to do some fishing each season, since I believe the fish available in each water type change. So you have some of each type of fish for the packages.

Winter was really enjoyable for me. Get animals, brew beer and wine, make jam. Even in busy days, it's easy to bills relationships maybe to at a time. Get them to 8 or ten and then forget about them since friendship doesn't degrade. Explore the mines.

I mean you can find the fire quartz all the way to level 120 (the bottom) so you might as well just continue on for now.

Yeah, some fish are season/weather dependent. Still, fishing during winter can help level it up if it's not maxed, and you can always sell the fish.

I got some red quartz fishing; fire quartz I mean. Not sure how lucky I was.

Wait...

There's a way to increase your maximum Energy?

I also hit level 20 in the Mines...BARELY, because I accidentally didn't pack any food

Using the hoe on the beach in the winter can unearth foraging goods. An upgraded hoe can clear the beach quickly and you can make a ton of money selling the foraged goods, easily thousands per day.

Yep.
You can find special items called Stardrops after doing specific things that raise your energy when you eat them.

Man.

I've played a lot of Stardew Valley but somehow I never knew this.

Minor tip that helps with energy in the early game (spring, to be specific):

In the southeast of the forest south of your farm there are a few patches of land where Spring Onions will grow. You can get anywhere from none to ~15, and they regrow potentially every day. They sell for almost nothing, restore like 15 energy, and help level up your foraging skill.

I check every day and eat them purely to restore energy. Usually I can get to Summer with a surplus of 50 or so.

Got the greenhouse , wondering the best way to maximize benefit from it.

Ideally, you would have 18 fruit trees around the perimeter, 116 plants, and sprinklers to cover them. The best choice would be Ancient Fruit, which continually reproduce every 7 days (after first taking 28 days), and sell for 550/687/825 base price. Starfruit are also a great choice—they sell for 750/937/1125 base price, though they don't reproduce; you'll need to purchase new seeds to replant them, which takes time and cuts into profits. Other than those, I'd do something like strawberries.

I've posted this picture before but if you missed it:

Thanks a lot, I have like 40 ancient fruit seeds, rest I'll do strawberries and trees.
