A Superman/Star Wars Comic Almost Happened

He lost. That's canon. Honestly I never got how with his power gone how he even lasted as long as he did.

I'm still waiting for a modern comic to confirm Quik Bunny/Superman happened in New 52 timeline, and had repercussions to the DC universe.
Superman has fought and trained with some of the best fighters in the universe. He has picked up a few tricks over the years.

Yeah, I always forget this, since he starts off rather rough as a fighter just using his powers thanks to being just a Kanas farming boy.

The concept of Brainiac in Star Wars is kind of unique. Star Wars doesn't really have warmongering AIs does it?

There's droid bounty hunters, droid armies, but not a sentient Death Star!

Red kryptonite removes Superman's inhibitions, so if that were the case, Vader would be even more fucked, as not only would it fail to cut Supes, it would also cause him to stop holding back.

Red kryptonite does random crap. Not sure why the TV shows just say it removes a Kryptonian's inhibitions beyond not wanting to pay to give Superman or Supergirl a giant ant head or something.

IG-88 took control of the second Death Star IIRC. Sadly it was seconds before the shot that destroyed it was fired.

The new canon Thrawn novel establishes that the Chiss Ascendancy knew of some incredible threat hidden in the Unknown Regions during the time of the fall of the Republic and the age of the Empire.

The Chiss Ascendancy is also implied to be on par, if not stronger, than the Empire at its height.

What if the threat was Darkseid?

What if a Darkseid/First Order alliance led to a new Death Star that fired Omega Beams?

I mean even with his own training and fighting style, there are a bunch of B.S. force powers that could overwhelm him. I think his Spidey sense would give him an edge for only so long before being beaten.

Like what?

Force lightening?
Dude fights electro

Force push/pull?
Jean grey couldn't tag him

Force mind tricks?
His will is too strong

Okay, I'm really considering this Spiderman vs Force User debate. I could be convinced otherwise, considering most of Spiderman's own foes would be proper training to take on a Force user if not the vast Marvel universe, plus his own ridiculously enhanced stats and quick thinking.

But I don't know, all the feats I remember of Force users can get out there. Then again, I don't even remember what's canon and what isn't, because writers keep making old things canon again...

I'll be over here debating it with myself

Well Radien's a god so his lightening will be mystical, and we know mystic lightening fucks with superman

Is the force a supernatural force?

I guess The Force can be taken one of two ways:

In 4/5/6 the force was all mystical, in the prequels they tried to "science" it up by quantifying it with "midichlorians". But now we're back to The Force being all mystical and shit again.

So take your pick. 🤣

Spidey still has to breathe though. A dark side user would just force choke his ass and then throw him out an airlock

Also, they'd just have to use "Center of Being" and they could get Spidey no matter how he attacks.

Wookiepedia said:
Center of Being was a stance used in lightsaber combat. It could also be used for meditation. The stance was used by members of the old Jedi Order. Users of this stance would hold the lightsaber horizontally, with the lightsaber hilt just below the chin. The meditative stance would find use in combination with more passive and defensive forms. One who fell deeply into this style could almost unconsciously defend from even the most flowing random attacks and feints.

Also, for strong enough Force users trained in it, even will cannot stop telepathy. They're on the same level of Professor Xavier at a certain point, and he wiped Spidey's mind with ease before. But I was right, they did trim down the power list quite a bit for Force users. Now they only have these.

Nuklon, Obsidian, Metamorpho, and Ice Maiden?

Yeah, that's who I meant. But also basically any post JLI incarnation that didn't have the Martian Manhunter or any member of the trinity. Although I guess Metamorpho and Obsidian are fairly powerful. Upon reflection, let's just say that force users could probably defeat Ted Kord.

LOL that is the only Blue Beetle they could take. Dan Garrett was jacked as hell.

Superman's a bitch to magic so just use some force lightning. My only point of reference is the JL cartoon where the writers had to knock out Superman and Martian Man Hunter every episode so the plot could happen.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?

I predict Yuuzan Vong 2.0

Oh god, I hope not. One of my disliked aspects of old EU.

And old JLI they could take Booster Gold, and Ted Kord, and uh...

That might be it.

The idea behind them was really cool since its basically the Tyranids from Warhammer 40K but the entire implementation... not so much.

Superman is very strong willed, so the Jedi/Force mind tricks wouldn't work on him.

Yeah and Supes could just speed blitz them, not a fair fight. Could Vader/Anakin even survive a punch from an under-powered Superman like the one on that cover? I doubt it.

That could have been cool. Just imagine Superman with a lightsaber or something. Now the closest we've even gotten to a Superman / Star Wars is a Superfriends episode or something, lol.

It was almost the other way around at one point.

I'm glad they didn't, even went Marvel went under. We wouldn't have gotten some great comics or even the MCU, which I'm a big fan of.

spidey sense vs jedi intuition, seems like an even battlefield there

Except Spidey sense has a better track record, and Spidey is way faster than any jedi. Like Rock Lee vs Sasuke. Sasuke could see Rock coming, but couldn't do anything about it
