Uhh, no. 1060 is basically a 980, which is not basically a 970. Bungie has said themselves that the early sections are good stress test areas and indicators for how the game will perform. Glad you got found the best performance in your X to your liking. But when it comes to Destiny 2, its piss easy to replicate console style experience on a budget. Plenty of evidence out there to prove it. Thats that.
Did you even listen to and watch that video he did. He fucked with so many settings its ridiculous. He lowered render resolution and left FOV standard he didnt run those frame rates at the default presets. The performance Im seeing on PC isnt bad but it isnt mind blowing over the One X. He lower render resolution to 85 I use default 100. He didnt change FOV from 85 my settings Im using 105. So on the I7 which the 4770k is 3.5ghz Haswell from 2013 with 12gb DDR3 1600MHZ ram just so we are clear. So 1080p high settings at 60fps minimum which was my goal aint fucking bad not sure what your on about. The AMD system with the 1050ti 4gb with that AMD CPU is around the minimum recommended for the game for AMD chips with only 8gb DDR3 and Im using same setting as the I7 BUT 30FPS minimum.
Are you somehow fuckin offended by how it runs on my PCs.
I mean fuck I play this game across 3 platforms as I played D1 on 4 friggin platforms yeah I like Destiny.
These guys are testing on much newer platforms than Im playing on sure the GPUs are the same they tested but the newer platforms increase those cards performance dramatically.
Your responses are like I came in here and said oh fuck yeah Xbox rocks pc sucks bro which is bullshit.
Playing on the available hardware I have the One X version just is the most consistent balance of image quality performance and loading times. Pretty simple so if that somehow offends you or bothers you well that just too bad but its my in house experience and honest input on the matter and doesnt mean I wont play on one platform vs another I shift with friends from system to system.
Also what system specs is digital foundrys test system? Dont see that listed they did not just use a pentium for all the testing. They really should lay out their test systems specs in these and they change so many settings they need to disclose things better. Their frame rate comparisons are good but their review formats and methodology is poor Im used to seeing detail like HardOcp GPU system reviews.
Example guru3d tested D2 this is their test system
Our test system is based on the eight-core Intel Core i7-5960X Extreme Edition with Haswell-E based setup on the X99 chipset platform. This setup is running tweaked at 4.20 GHz. Next to that, we have energy saving functions disabled for this motherboard and processor (to ensure consistent benchmark results). We use Windows 10 all patched up. Each card runs on the same PC with the same operating system clone.
That alone is gone boost frame rates over what Im seeing by a lot.
