Thanks for the reminder that I am living my best life. Outside of Timdog, who I only see mentioned here by people making fun of him, I don’t know who any of these people are 🥰

Guess they aren’t all that influential.

Console warring is harmless fun when it doesn't get toxic.

But a lot of these guys have built monetized rabbid audiences off of this shit, so I feel bad for their pockets. But not for audiences they have cultivated.

....nah I dont feel bad at all. This shit is all hilarious.

It's pretty interesting listening to the Tim Dog Spaces on X. Too much yelling and some annoying personalities, but I've never seen people go through the stages of grief in like 5 min. It felt like a funeral already.

Also pretty funny that Geoff Keighley and Sean Murray from Hello Games showed up. I think general consensus is to wait until next week to react, but everyone already knows what Phil is going to say. If he reads from the script everyone expects, Xbox fans will officially be out.
Well, I think that as usual Phil will have a dishonest PR bullshit messaging full of lies just to make some damage control.

Their plan of slowly doing steps to move away from Xbox hardware will continue as planned and started many years go. But in that speech they'll hide it saying they have a console coming (which will be cancelled if not already cancelled, or will be made by 3rd party companies) plus exclusives coming and that some games will go multiplatform due to existing deals or because forced by regulators (which won't be true, was always their plan).

They will also throw related PR sentences like "if we all play we all win", "we want to allow our fans to play their games everywhere", "we want to reach 3B players and can't do it limited to our console" etc.

If they would be honest they'd say: "Hey, we have been losing money every year in our gaming division during over two decades of Xbox. We spend around $100B on acquisitions, and aven put you the games day one on GP. But none of that worked, we already lost enough billions and we had to choose between shutting down our gaming division or to go multiplatform and to don't include future games day one on GP to turn this into a profitable business. If you want this division to continue existing, please buy more MS consoles and games. There won't be a next gen Xbox made by us but 3rd party companies will make them. Phil Spencer, Aaron Greenberg, Sarah Bond and Matt Booty leave MS next week. Goodbye."

The cringe levels are scary , I can understand kids console wars but adults crying for a piece of plastic is beyond mental sanity.

Finally You Will keep playing your favorite games , basically there Will be more potions to do it.

I don’t understand this ant all. It’s not even confirmed yet and they are already melting down? Also, they are mad about Xbox games coming to PlayStation too, so they sell their Xbox for a PlayStation? How does that even make sense?

It’s crazy how people are now days.

This type of fandom is just pure brain rot. I wonder what their friends and family think of them?

"What's wrong hun? Why are you crying?"

"MS is putting Hi-Fi Rush on Playstation! Maybe even more!"

"I want a divorce."
True, I compare it to sports fans when their favorite team doesn't sport the way they want them to and trade what they think is a key player or coach to the other team. It's all pathetic.

This shits hilarious. These guys kept sucking off spencer and xbox instead of demanding better. They pushed gamepass as the future when it was clear it would hurt sales. Now they're acting like man children because the consequences of their actions are coming home to roost.

Timdog saying get rid of gamepass is the fucking cherry on top. Mother-fucker you pushed gamepass so hard.

They probably found out that the money and swag are coming to an end.

The initial leak about all this said these decisions would be strictly based on "metrics" and that "internet discourse" would not be "considered". That's a bitter pill to swallow as "internet discourse" is the currency in which these people trade. Slowly, it is starting to sink in that Microsoft is moving to a business strategy that doesn't put them front and center.

This is for all the years of us having to endure the "gamepass is the furure" propaganda, having to see "good guy Phil" annoying face everywhere, Microsoft trying to buy their way into the industry.

Keep them meltdowns coming green team !!!

And the "GamePass is the best deal in gaming" lie. Amazing how much MS spent to have most of the video game media repeat that over and over for years.

By everyone who thinks this meeting next week is an Xbox death knell

If you found out that you've been lied to, after feeling like something is off but you kept on believing it.......I can see why "they" are the ones to take it the hardest. Next week will be the beginning of the damn breaking. It's bigger than a crack. But yes, it's also not going to be an immediate flood.

But the flood is coming and they know it.

"Pulling support." What kind of support did these "influencers" really provide? They only thing they ever managed to influence was my decision to stay away from Twitter. Xbox is already better without them.
