hey guys, long time no see

ive been kinda short on internet moneys these days and ive been wanting to buy some of the new releases, so considering i havent played TF2 in a while (i'll come back tho) and that ive never been one for items, i was wondering what could i sell from my backpack (as in, in exchange for paypal money, wich i know isnt that common).

Problem is being not an item person i really have no clue to what is worth what anymore, so if anyone could take a quick look and tell me what's of value here and could be exchanged for cash, i'd appreciate it.

edit: oh is there a thread more suited for this?

There is the Trading Thread here.

The Op there has the link to tf2spreadsheet to see how much each item is worth.

What I can tell you is that for most of the items you have it is not very easy to sell it for paypal $.

Your Genuine item hold certain value for refine metal which you can try to sell refined metal for money.

only east coasters can successfully pyro on the jank

otherwise, forget about it

Yep. I pretty much play huntsman sniper and degreaser pyro exclusively. Jank is so frustrating :(

I have fun if I play medic though, or engy in the rare case that other people help me set up.

So it seems that the motherboard I got is old and only takes DDR 184 pin ram lol. No way I'm paying for that! So just going to save up for a new MB/CPU/RAM. Right now it's at $250. So in the end I payed $300 for this computer. I'm ok with this. Didn't think $50 would get me much anyways. Got a graphics card atless lol.

That long Hightower match tonight was awesome. Also, I had some extra fun sniping that round.
Hightower and awesome shouldn't be in the same sentence, especially not with "long". 40 minutes of hightower with no time limit followed by a second hightower match is enough to reduce grown humans to gibbering wrecks.

That hightower match made me realize how useful the reserve shooter/degreaser is. You're basically invincible against other pyros, there's not a thing they can do unless they are using the same setup. It seems good against medics, engies, and soldiers too.

You got my scout a few times. one of them might have been an air headshot, i'm not sure. I did however get my revenge a couple of times.

Yeah, it was an air headshot; you were jumping directly in line with me so it wasn't all that skill-requiring.

This is very true. Every time you pulled that on me when I was Pyro I basically would airblast you away/shoot a flare/run because I could never get close enough to kill you and there's just no way to take you down with the flare before you shotgun me to death. I really need to get around to crafting a Reserve Shooter.

I haven't played the game in several months, but I'm not entirely sure this is true; the Reserve Shooter is fairly situational.

For one thing, the damage bonus only applies if the opposing Pyro is in the air, which would imply they did the stupid thing and tried to W+M1 you, only to get tossed in the air with your airblast. Obviously, for more vertically-oriented stages like Hightower, you're more likely to see a Pyro falling through other means, but on a more flat stage like Dustbowl, there aren't too many ways they could wind up airborne.

For another, you're missing half your magazine, while a Pyro with the shotgun would have the full magazine on hand (assuming the Pyro isn't a Flare or Detonator user; this is a moot point if they are). Generally, Pyro vs. Pyro should involve frequent shotgun usage, and having less room for error when making your shots can really come to bite you in the ass.

Third, the weapon switching doesn't really stack that much; the Degreaser already takes out most of the weapon switch time, so you save a miniscule fraction of a second that would probably only matter if you were somehow able to TAS a multiplayer game. (They stack multiplicatively, so the 35% savings are applied to the newer, shorter time; 0.35 x 0.85 = 0.2975, or 70.25% faster as opposed to just 65% faster.)

However, it's an excellent replacement for the Axtinguisher if you're opting for the Attendant set, where you have to use the Powerjack instead.

No debate about the Degreaser, though. That thing is so obviously the correct flamethrower choice (haven't tried the Phlogistinator, but its lack of an airblast makes me hesitant), it's obscene. Love it to bits.

You're probably right, that was just the first match I had used the combo. I think it just changes the way you encounter pyros if you use the reserve shooter. If I saw a pyro at mid range, I would just fire a few shots at him while running away, and there's really not much he could do about it. If you see them within airblast range, it's game over though. There is almost nothing they can do to avoid taking a bunch of damage. The best they can hope for is to airblast at the same time and hope the minicrit doesn't do too much damage as they run away.

It would take a pyro who is very good at spacing and shotgun aim to consistently beat a reserve shooter pyro

I actually prefer using it to the axstinguisher because it means that I don't have to deal with the bullshit melee hit detection AND that the other guy has a fighting chance. It makes things far more interesting.

The airblast has a slightly longer range than the flamethrower and a faster speed. Generally, if you run into another pyro it's going to be at a range that you can airblast them at. There's also the glitch where if you airblast someone downward (into the ground) they'll register as "in the air" until they actually jump and land again. Also, the source engine sucks at detecting when players are in the air, so a lot of times when people are on stairs or bumpy ground you'll still get the mini-crit (this is why it's banned in most comp leagues).

If you run into another pyro at a range, generally you have the option to retreat and force a close-range engagement in which case you should generally win. The reserve shooter should win out in most situations against pretty much every other pyro secondary. The manmelter might do decently against enemy pyros if you have stored crits, but so few people use the manmelter that it's hard to say if it'd make a big difference. It fires even slower than the flaregun, so even accounting for crits I think the shotgun would out damage it in most practical situations.

So I don't know if you know this, but this game is pretty good. I randomly remembered that this went free and I haven't played it so I gave it a try. I basically never play FPS games online, but the class variety in this game allows for so many different playstyles that it will probably keep me playing at least for a little while.

Yeah, I only have like 1,000 hours played, but it can keep you busy for a bit at least. It's pretty decent, or used to be before [complaint of your choice about the good old days here].

This is me and shooters, minus the free.

Also, I was supposed to play on the server last night because my weekend will now be an uninterrupted mess of Guild Wars 2 Beta. Sorry.

Already seen it before.

Also, the only thing that would make me change my avatar is another avatar from the same person.

[EDIT] Apprantly GoDaddy stole my yeef.net net domain and there's probably nothing I can do about it. Fuckers.
