Halo |OT3| Remember Reach?

The HaloGAF cast was pretty good, can we start uP a 'donate to get Ghaleon a better mic' campaign? As the FUDcast editor I would thank you all :p

Looks like Halo 4 MP will be played at E3 at least, not that it's a surprise at this point with the last few events having them.

So exciting. Hopefully the pros there will be honest with how the game plays, I'd love to see what the competitive players think of it.

Really hope we get some good video of gameplay finally.

They have to, surely? I'm hoping for a nice 10 minute chunk in the Microsoft presser.

I hope they keep the lid on single player though, maybe show the first level that's been talked about a lot, but other than that keep it all under wraps. The mystery and intrigue would be a great marketing hook.

I'll do my best to get impressions and some video up (granted Frankie and Ellis are cool with it), know a couple of them going. Can't wait to hear and see:)

Thats pretty awesome, and im pretty impressed if one of our first looks at Halo 4 will be MLG footage. That would certainly quench a lot of my fears if it looks good.

Multiplayer Gameplay is a must.

If i had to guess E3 content id say

Spartan Ops BTS
Chunk of gameplay on a new map with new weapons being shown (and some customization)
The Campaign intro played on stage

SD Comic Con ???

Forge for PAX

Second HaloGAF podcast was good too. Keep it up. Really helps work pass by quicker.

Edit: Try not to say 'like' so much. I know, its hard, everyone does it. If possible edit them out in post production.

Wouldn't that sound weird? unnatural pauses and awkward pitch transitions everywhere, if it's as egregious as you imply.

I should probably listen to it.

Wait, like, what do you mean? Like, am I saying it a lot? Like, what should I say instead?

It's a conversational habit that doesn't sound too well when recorded and played back. Everyone, like, does something like it and to be honest it won't bother, like, the majority of folks that listen.

Heavy editing can hide it sure, but that sort of fine-editing can be, like, a pain I hear.

Yea I do it all the time too lol.

I believe the rule of thumb is a pause is actually better. Something about it forces them to listen instead of filter out a useless word and eventually produces better retention. I forgot though haven't taken any public speaking classes in (like) 4 years. We had to take 3 or 4 semesters of it at university.

Now I remember days from High School when I tallied my History teachers 'likes'.

Yea I think its almost situational which ones you can edit out, but the fact they do do a really good job only having one speaker at a time makes it easier.

The way most people say it, not really. I noticed in editing everyone has similar vocal tics. Ghaleon would always preface things with "y'know", I always start every thought with "well". Unless you're a valley girl the like and umms are easily cut.

I'll take your word for it.

Please don't start that again, I wouldn't want you to ham-per the atmosphere.

Lololololololol

Oh man, what have I done?
