what's your plan for November?

I'll have my eye on PS3 info. Chances are I'll pre-order a 60GB system and pick up any decent games that appeal to me - along with an extended warranty. If the launch games are really bad I might try to snag a Wii for 'Zelda' as well, but I'm confident there will be a couple of decent titles that will tide me over until the really good stuff hits. Still, it's frustrating to see that all the PS3 launch titles I'm interested in are up in the air. 'Untold Legends' will be bad, so that's out. But 'Warhawk', 'Resistance', 'Motorstorm' and especially 'Lair'...could be anything from awesome to unplayable. Long as there's something decent. I'm really just killing time until 'Heavenly Sword' and 'Devil May Cry 4' release, and if it turns out that the PS3 can replace my VCR from day one, so much the better.

in November I plan to:

buy a Wii, with at least 1 game, if not 3 or 4 games ;)

play/continue playing FF XII,

play/complete MGS1 with the wife, (she likes it, but hasn't seen much of it other than the opening snowfield)

play/complete FFVII with the wife, (she likes the beginning of FFVII, but likes the beginning of FFVIII more, but I want to get FFVII "out of the way" (graphic-wise only of course----- luv's <3 me some Final Fantasy VII), so that she can then play/watch/enjoy VIII, IX, X, and XII of course; with VIII and IX looking better than they do on the PS2 hopefully. *crosses fingers*

play/complete FFIII.... :)

p.s. I want to buy a PS3 to play FFII and some assorted other PS2 games on, but I don't think that I will be able to afford it outside of and unexpected gift.... :/

something like that. (basically continue playing video games that I feel MUST BE PLAYED...)

Lots of DS games, Wii, LoZ:TP Wii version, Metroid Prime:Corruption, Rayman for Wii. Then wait for the 360 to drop in price.

I'm honestly not sure yet. I'm in favor of the new controller, I just don't think it could be suitable for a game like that. Metroid? Sure. Mario? Looks like they've made it work. But Zelda is a more relaxing kind of exploration/dungeon/puzzle-solving game and I don't think I'd like to use anything but a standard controller. I'm just not convinced that it'll be a convoluted-free gameplay experience. Now for things like fishing, absolutely. For now though, until I know more about it, I'll get the Cube version.

I will be getting the PS3, the Wii if it launches in November, but I cannot forget about Elite Beat Agents and Guitar Hero 2.

Nope, I'm getting it for the GC as well. I've always thought it was kinda strange how so many here so quickly accepted TP as a Wii title.

Anyways, PS3 + Warhawk, Ridge Racer 7 and Hot Shots Golf 5 for me. A Wii if Mario launches and is good, and the requisite PS2, PSP and DS titles.

Well let's see. If the PS3 is going to be anything like the X-Box 360's launch (which I think it might be.) Then I'll be holding off from buying the console until next year. No reason to plop down $750-800 for a system and some games I am not interested in. I felt violated when I bought the 360 at launch, violated in the ass.

I will be purchasing FFXII, I have successfully neglected the news and storyline from the game. I don't even know when it's actually coming out! I'm depending on GAF to make a "FFXII AMERICAN LAUNCH TOPIC HERE WE GO." I'll purchase Okami around the same time (whenever the hell that comes out.) And then the rest will be into Gears of War and the other AAA titles the 360 will be combating the PS3 launch with.

Maybe a Wii depending on launch titles.

Edit: Oh yeah, Guitar Hero 2 and the new Zelda.

I'm either gonna upgrade my PC and forgo console gaming entirely, or buy some of the hot games coming out for PS2/DS/GC.

Next-gen doesn't begin until I see some price drops.

That or we're smart enough to know it won't make it this year.

Is it really even necessary to announce you've bought an expansion to a MMO? I never did this with any of the games I played.

"Hey guys, I'm playing Shrouded Isles right now!!!"

So many rich kids in this thread...

Or people who know how to manage their money and save up for something...

Anyway, pure PS2, PSP and DS for me this November. So many games on those three consoles alone that I won't even be looking at next gen until next year.

c'mon you know the majority is just a bunch of kids who come home after school and ask their mom to drive them to EB for the hottest titles and then just post about how they picked up the games on their 'lunch break'

There hasn't been an announcement either way. Blizzard don't give release dates. The retailers are just guessing at this point.

For me BY November, 32 High End LCD TV, Gears of War, Dead Rising, Saints Row, Forza 2 with wheel, and after that I gotta start thinking about putting a New Vista Level computer together.

wait for TGS show to confirm release dates, I won't jump into the console purchasing without the fully confimed confimations of the confirmed release dates

wich first? a Wii or a PS3?? that all depends, whatever is available at launch or Q4 will dictate wich i will buy first,

Do an endless about of homework until I get to come home for thanksgiving break which will be spent playing Zelda (GC) and eating leftovers.

And maybe some Yoshi's Island 2 as well.
