Aniplex: $4000 for the complete CCS collection on blu-ray

Sentai Filmworks: subs on Crunchyroll and $1000 for the complete CCS collection on VHS

Funimation: 12-episode releases on DVD/BD once to twice a year at $50/$60 each, releases canceled halfway through due to poor sales

S'More Entertainment: $40 for the complete CCS compressed to fit on three discs without subtitles

Media Blasters: purchases CCS license, never uses it, releases Cardcaptors DVDs instead

I would pay up to $1000 for subbed bluray release if it was good quality. thats probably the ceiling.

The Light of El Cantare
You mean, releases the first 7 episodes on DVD, then delays further releases for years while picking up Yaoi and ecchi anime licenses.

(my pain for Bakuman on disc, still waiting for episode 8-14).

I'm just mad bitter that they licensed Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei and then did nothing with it for so long that it's no longer a viable property and wouldn't be picked up by another company anyway even if Media Blasters lost their rights to it.

Fuck this show and the characters on it. I'm only #hatewatch at this point and it's too good at that.

Oh my lord.

I'll be seeing this for myself in a few. Ugh.

I'm still bitter about Viz dropping Full Moon O Sagashite halfway.
SO PISSED>

OtuBoku OVA

One of these girls is a boy!

So, I guess this is some kind of sequel or side-quel or something related to the original OtuBoku but with different characters. The set up isn't exactly the same, but fairly similar - boy who can pass as a girl goes to an all girl school and everyone falls in love with him/her.

What's weird is how they've tried to class up the story by trying to be all arty:

Even the title cards/episode titles are overwrought.

Of course, the episode itself seems to balance between the arty emotional bits where everything is deliberately paced and the inevitable servicey
bath scene
where hijinks happen. Otherwise, it seems more of the same... even if the characters are different and the direction gets arty at times, it doesn't really deviate from the original OtuBoku all that much, even if
his gender is revealed pretty quickly
, so I assume the rest of the OVAs will be more girls falling in love with the main character for some faux-yuri hilarity.

Also, there is SDBurton service:

There's wonzo service:

And Joule service:

So, something for everyone. lol

Awesome in Yuru Yuri (mock if old):
This isn't a value judgement, but I just wonder if we've got to the point where people are making references just because they can and not because it is in any way related to telling the story. It's just something that both American and Japanese people can't seem to get enough of.

Oda Nobuna no Yabou-2

This episode was a lot better than the prior one. I am starting to see the decentness of this show. Though, I would love a harsh and dark tone show involving the real Oda Nobunaga. So much potential in that.

I'm a little sad that Nobuna didn't proceed to murder her brother, it brought a real doubt whether Akechi Mitsuhide's betrayal will be handled with dignity and awesomeness.

Nobuna is such a tsundere too.

If the Madoka Magica credit card was too girly for you, perhaps you'd like a Hakuouki one instead.
In addition to bearing a design featuring characters from the franchise, the card will come with various extras related to the series, including the opportunity to purchase tickets for Hakuōki-related events in advance of regular sales, an original card case, and the ability to exchange points generated by using the card on original items such as CDs, cushion covers, and face towels.

I feel my wallet getting more homoerotic already!

Nah, with AGTH and ATLAS though it translates pretty well though.
Anything for yuri!

I will take SD's crown some day ;~;

Until then I shall remain AnimeGAF's Akari.
Look at the lengths he'll go to though. lol

Of course it will not be otoboku , if this wasn't.

Unless i'm wrong this was based on the second game on this saga
( different cast, différent school, same universe ) The game was out in japan on PC & 360

Suite Henshin music > Heartcatch henshin music.
Barely.

This is factually wrong, as it implies there's even a single aspect of Suite that was better than Heartcatch.

Yes, I still have 10 or so episodes of Suite left, but I feel confident in this statement.

cajun's right, though. By the most extraordinarily slim of margins, but he's right.

Indeed!

I will brave the strongest winds, the roughest storms, and the deadliest heat for my yuri.

Just to add something:

Aniplex: Comes with its own replica wand.

Sentai Filmworks: Each VHS will have its label handwritten!

Funimation: Each set comes with a free keychain and some nifty packaging.

And to add the companies that time forgot:

NISA: 24 episode sets. No dub. Enough oversized boxes to break bookshelves everywhere.

Nozomi: Licenses it, announces it and no one notices til it's long out of print.

VIZ: Streams it, releases it and cancels everything within a year.

I just got Crunchyroll premium. They gave me 30 days free because I had an .edu email. So, how is it? I am ten years behind on pretty much any anime....besides Welcome to NHK, Eureka 7, and tons of one to several episode quits of random crap I didn't like. I'm pretty excited because it's gonna be good to get back into it after so long.

And I would have even less of an idea of what to watch with their live action Japanese shows. But first I am gonna watch Gintama.
