Skiesofwonder

Walruses, camels, bears, rabbits, tigers and badgers.
I bet people are going to eat a lot of crow on NSMBU and Nintendo Land. I think Nintendo is going balls out with content and nostalgia candy on those games. It is Pikmin 3 you should all be worried about.

I played enough of Pikmin 3 to know that it has the chance to be something really really special. But I think the other two will be special as well, especially Nintendoland.

Just looked it up and...Go Nintendo was the first hit, but here's the source:

(and screens!)

Edit: no clue about the iOS/Android bit mentioned above.

Just to be sure, remove the link.
Those are kind of scans from the digital issue of GI on a tablet / smartphone

Remove the link in your quote, too.

Metroid Blast up to 5 players. Wii Game Pad is Samus ship (might feature other types of machines), and 4 players can play in free-for-all or team deathmatch. Pointer and analog controls supported. Several maps! Classic Metroid music. You will smile.
You were always one of my favorite ninjas. Now I just need friends to play this with...

I think what Nintendo is insisting with Nintendo Land is that you are getting 12 small games. Not mini-games, and not exactly full games. But something of decent enough substance and a ton of nostalgia and fun gameplay.

Balloon Trip Breeze sounds like a mobile game. Basically you control your Mii with swipes on the GamePad to avoid hazards around the stage. Trying to go as far as you can... kind of hints at leaderboards.. but who knows

I'd like to get the title, but they don't seem like the kinds of games that are fun with 2 people, which is my usual gaming number (or 1).

Yep. Nintendo Land will be an instant classic.

Seems like 12 arcade games. Not super long or anything, but fun and easy to learn and get into quickly.

so another new game?

edit, just saw the scans. I guess we now know the reason why Balloon Fight was one of the 3DS Ambassador Games... :)

Not enough details are known yet. Should wait for more information before making a new thread.

Well could be a GameInformer details thread

The whole NintendoLand article is up as well.

Confirms two new games in Metroid Blast and Balloon Breeze Trip.

What? LOL, no.

I guarantee you that won't be a launch game. It's going to be delayed, and it will be awesome when it's ready.

As someone who thought NSMB2 was only okay, I'm so pumped for NSMBU. This game doesn't deserve to look this good.

Chance of me buying a Wii U at launch have increased dramatically.

Is there any Nintendo Land attractions we havn't seen any footage from yet?

There are scans of Metroid Blast... which we saw as Blast Mii... but trust me.. that looks nothing like this now.

Also Rush Mode in NSMBU sounds like an interesting way to replay the game

Balloon Trip Breeze –
Similar to Balloon Fight
Players guide floating Miss through side-scrolling levels filled with obstacles like electric spikes, crazy birds, and hungry fish.
Use stylus to draw gusts of wind to direct the Mii
Goal is to fly as far as you can.
TV shows complete view of the field, GamePad shows zoomed in for precise dodging.
Nintendo hopes the game breeds competition through Miiverse

What

Balloon Trip is back? No way.

Edit: F1 Race Stars was coming to Wii U right? Seems like Codemasters is denying a Wii U version.

Wastes hours checking old Famitsu software data, but that's why we love him.

It was on a Gamestop Italy list and was quasi-confirmed wink wink by a few posters here.

Odd.

Kind of seems like there's a mixed-bag in terms of depth. The Zelda and Metroid games in particular seem to pretty extensive with different modes, levels, and even bosses while others like the DK and Ninja Castle games just have straight progression through different levels. The Luigi's Mansion and Animal Crossing games actually might be the skimpiest on content despite being generally more praised by the press, unless there are more maps we haven't seen. I guess real amusement parks also have rides of different scales, so it's the same idea. I'm also looking forward to the reveals of the Yoshi, Game&Watch, Pikmin, and updated Mario Bros. attractions.

Also Shikamaru, I also have to ask what your reason is for the pessimism on Pikmin 3? Just because it's not as vital to the Wii U's success as N-Land and NSMBU, or is it the Wii development origins, or is there something else?

There's 12 and so far we've seen:
Luigi's Mansion
Animal Crossing
Donkey Kong
F-Zero (short clip)
Zelda
Metroid (screens)
Takamaru's Ninja Castle

No images/videos but I guess add Balloon Fight to the list cause now we know more about it than before at least. So 4 left that we're completely in the dark about other than the teaser icons.

Plinko

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
Nintendoland is now for sure day one for my family.
