Why would you need six spoons when you're clearly going to be enjoying your jelly in abject soul-murdering loneliness?

Japanese fans never get enough of Evangelion merchandise. The latest Evangelion-inspired product produced by Premium Bandai, Bandai's official online store, is a set of six spoons featuring the angels (No.3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10) on the handles and six cranberry-flavored jellies shaped the angel's core. The angels' faces are also featured on the lids of the jellies. The store has started accepting pre-orders for the set for the customers in Japan today on September 13. The retail price is 3,980 yen (about US$51.18).

This reminds me of the State spoons collection my grandmother had and my mother inherited. Except that its like a million times cooler.

Like it or not, this is the future of anime merchandizing.
Companies have to make money on animu somehow and figurines/jelly spoons/cafes are a good way to supplement it. Its an interesting dynamic. This media mix stuff and all these themed goods keep the industry going. Profit on this stuff must be absolutely insane.

But that's the closest I'll ever get to realizing my angel shipfics.
It tastes like sadness.
That's roughly half a BD volume or one episode of anime so in the greater scheme of the otaku lifestyle that's a bargain.
I'd like to see the small enclave of wealthy and obsessive Evangelion fans apparently funding this constant stream of merchandise. These guys are gonna be found mummified under stacks of Mari dakis somewhere down the line.

I hope that's true. So far I'm loving the verbal smack downs Yui is delivering to him. Though I felt bad for him in episode 4 when he got himself in trouble and it wasn't even his fault.

So after seeing Equilibrium, due to finding out it's one of Urobuchi's favorite movies, I see a lot of that movie in this show. The 'antagonist' looks straight out of the movie(other than skin color) and I wouldn't be surprised if he was a cop too. Hopefully he wrote Gun Kata in there as holy shit I would love to see that animated. I wonder if PP is going to be a love letter to Equilibrium.

They might have some minor changes as the guitar riff in the PV sounds somewhat different but that should give you a good idea.
The marketing campaign for Psycho-Pass has been entirely based around dripfeeding information to us at certain times. The previous CMs have all gone live online after they air in the advert breaks on noitaminA that evening. With tonight being the finale of Natsuyuki and Moyashimon Returns they probably want to save the full announcement then.
