Oh rock of ages, do not crumble, love is breathing still. Oh lady moon shine down, a little people magic if you will.
the handheld version of uncharted lacks the huge moments of UC2 and 3
Golden abyss is great, even without the big explosions, and i'd say it's a better adventure game because of it. It doesn't need 'em. And the Uncharted Trilogy isn't great because of it's amazing, bombastic explosive scene's. They certainly help, but it's the feeling of adventure and exploration, the chemistry between characters and beautifull places to drop your jaw in wich makes them great imo. Uncharted games alway's make me feel like i'm on a digital vacation :)

Considering P4G only had a handful of days to chart, that's not a bad showing.
Hopefully that'll convince Atlus to bring future Japanese Vita games
or just Persona 5
to the US. Do they have anything in the works right now besides Dragon Crown?

because it's a butchered garbage game that seriously lack contents and should not be rewarded by Vita owners.

But if people are enjoying the game, what's the big deal? To you it might be garbage, but to someone else it's a fun portable COD game. I don't know why so many people on here no matter what game/system it might be, if they don't like it then no one can like it. If you don't like something that's your right, but don't cut other people down because they enjoy a particular game and you don't.

This should be seen as a good thing. The game is selling well by the looks of it, now maybe we might get a better made sequel from a developer that has more time to work on it.

Lack of cinematic moments is the main reason it's the best game in the series.

Lemmings is on the Playstation Mobile section of the Vita PS Store for free.

Haven't checked it out yet, but I saw "Lemmings" and "touch screen support" and "free", and that was enough for me.

I learned of this from the Live Area Activity... it really does work.

30 levels for free, full game for 3,79 or something.

I really don't want to go with another argument about Atlus and Vita again (we have one like two days ago) but...yeah I don't think P4G US numbers will change anything.

There is a PS Mobile section in the Vita Store?

*high five*

Whoops did I start a ranking war for Uncharted again? lol

I was simply stating that just because it doesn't have those big cinematic moments of UC2 and 3 doesn't mean it is not Uncharted or a very good Uncharted at that. It's on a handheld system and was a launch title so expect some differences from the console version.

Well I talked about it on the last page as well, unrelated of you. But UC:GA really is a fantastic game. I cant understand people slamming it.

Why not? Just curious, not trying to bring up an argument again.

Because Toto is the most pessimistic living being in this thread :p (Chances are they'll bring another game to the console if a game sells extraordinarily well) Just ignore Toto and the pessimism goes away.

I'm really curious about P4G sales numbers.

I really don't think the sales of persona 4 matter all that much. If they are good it won't hurt but if they are bad I don't think that will keep atlus from publishing games on the vita.

The big deciding thing will be next spring. Japan actually has a decent looking line up for the vita next spring. If the expected vita price drop happens around that time and the vita numbers don't drastically pick up around then, that would be far more of a factor in how much atlus would support the vita.

I'd listen to Giantbomb when it come to Vita games.

curious, did you play COD Vita?

My biggest issue with it is the price - $49.99 for what it is is -really- pushing it. However, the game itself isn't that bad at all. Also - people seem to be missing the point of the game a little - that or game reviewers were expecting something else from the game.

Removal/lack of a full "single player" experience was the right thing to do for me. The replacement with the short one-death-and-it's-game-over missions was exactly the way to go with a handheld game. Now, for me, i can see playing on 1 star you could bomb through this in an hour or two, but playing it on the 3 star setting changes that.

Then you have the horde style modes which , again, multi difficulty settings give you something to replay over and over.

Online worked fine, the small maps are just a little too small in that spawn killing does take place but again - it was all as expected.

$49.99 ... that's the sticking point. $29.99 would have been about right. However, the idea that the game is out and out garbage isn't accurate - it's not going to win GOTY but neither is it a steaming turd.

I should add that i am absolutely itching for Rainbow 6 Vegas's terrorist hunt style gaming on the Vita and between Unit 13 and this, the itch is starting to be scratched.

in very short,It's all about Atlus strategy and their best interest for SMT and Persona IPs , Persona is their top dog and was always on the top Japanese system, the great Japanese P4G number didn't change anything and they picked another place for one of their main franchises and didn't even bother to announce P4A for Vita after that fact.

you yeah that ship is gone.

really the 5000 copies of P4A that would be sold on the vita really don't seem like it would be worth the effort. Quality of the game aside P4A hasn't exactly lit up the charts and even if the vita had an install base of 20mil units in japan alone I highly doubt if I was in charge I would release it on the vita. I'd just use my resources on something that actually might sell decent numbers.

aka p4a really isn't a good example for since they passed over releasing this they don't care.

As I said, he is just super pessimistic about anything and everything :p He is sort of like.. the counterweight to hope and prosperity. The Pandoras Box equivalent of the positive vibes in this thread. One cant be without the other!

I'd be pessimistic too if I were a blind dancing ho.

Buy P4G, ZHP and make Mono happy.

NEXT WEEK. FINALLY. God damn, dont think I ever waited this long for a PSP game.

Err, Persona 4 Arena sold very well in Japan. Over 200,000 units which makes it one of the best selling fighting games this generation in that region. I'm pretty certain it will get a Vita port eventually.

well it's more fun to be negative then positive. If you are negative all the time when you are wrong you will get awesome stuff out of it. If you are positive all the time when you are wrong you will just get heartbroken.

either way... Catherine for Vita! ... really I just want a new trauma game somewhere :/

I suppose, but it didn't manage to do numbers anywhere else in the world. also in japan that is still about half the number of persona 4 sales, and less that the sales of persona 4 golden that I am seeing.
Beyond that Atlus aren't really the type to just simply port the game without adding new stuff so I am going to stick with they won't bother to port it.
I will instead be on the, they will make a new version of persona 4 arena for the ps3/360 and when that version releases it will also get a vita release at that time, train

So what exactly? Add some more story convos, some other characters and bam you have the Vita version. Arc System Works has ported stuff to Vita, and Atlus has had success with a port from the same series on Vita too. It doesn't have to sell a million copies to be successful.

Since this seems to be the "official" Vita-topic nowadays, does anybody know when/where the white Vita will be for sale? Not the Assassin's Creed-pack, but the standalone one?

I saw a nice white box on eBay, but I can't seem to find it in any online shops.

Agreed. I'm about 2/3 through and really enjoying it. This was the system seller for me and it hasn't disappointed at all.

I only played it because of PS+, and I am VERY positively surprised. I wouldnt have thought I'd pay more than 10$ to get it based on my earlier (and demo) impressions, but I do think that the full game definitely would have been worth the full price.

the description on the asscreed vita page implies never
Includes Limited Edition Crystal White PlayStation Vita Wi-Fi system.

it doesn't have to sell a million copies to be successful no, but it would need to project to sell at least 75k or so copies to be worth the time and effort and I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't project for that given the current vita install base in Japan.

As I said I more expect them to just come out with a new version in general for next fall or spring 2014 for the ps3 and it be on the vita then. It will give the vita more time to get an install base built up after it ideally has good sales with a number of solid releases and a price cut and if it turns out it doesn't sell well on the vita then they will at least have the ps3 version tat should sell decently.

got mine earlier today, after setting it up and such, I have to say it's a very impressive handheld. the screen is simply amazing, really shows up the one in the wii u gamepad. sound is great as well, everything is responsive and so much more faster than the playstation 3. is this running a new version of psn?

I do have one complaint, the bloody memory card prices. I signed up to a years plus earlier and I can see I'm going to be close to empty before the next months worth of content.

bloody hell sony, drop the price on the memory cards.

They make money on the console with the memory card prices, they wont drop anytime soon. Besides, the 32GB cards often have times where they are sold out because the demand is bigger than the supply.

Now ask yourself: Would you drop the price on an item that in quite a few instances has bigger demand than supply?

Edit: Top of the page $5,99 Alundra (PS1) recommendation:

Best Zelda type game. Period.

I just pretend like it's 2000 and thus something like 32gb on a memory card is mind blowing and expensive... it gets to depressing if you look at the sales on flash drives and sd cards for $10 for 32gb if you treat vita memory cards like they are from this year lol

As far as I know, which admittedly isn't a lot about this topic, the ps3 wasn't designed to handle PSN and the XMB in it's current form which is why it runs like shit. If nothing else, Vita shows that they can learn from their mistakes and make the Ps4 not run like butt.

Just downloaded Modern Combat 4 and it's better or as least as good as any FPS on the vita. Why doesn't gameloft develop for the video I would love to play MC4 with the vita's dual sticks.
