To guess a solid release date: September 2013 for Japan, May 2014 for US, with dates for other countries close behind.
May? More like March given the release dates of Platinum and Black and White....

Nah it's the other way around.
Black and White was a pseudo reboot, starting in a region with no new Pokemon and having a slight "Back to basics" feel.
Ruby and Sapphire was a true reboot. The entire way Pokemon existed in the data changed. A whole lot of stuff was changed and uprooted. Also not all Pokemon were even available when Generation III was first released. Plus there's the whole fact that the three versions of Generation three are Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. Gemstones that are.... Red, Blue, and Green.

Christmas release for the kiddies then? Some of you guys are starting to get too hyped.
If we do get a new game(which I doubt since it wouldn't add up) it'll take Game Freak about 5 months to release it in Japan and about 6 months to localize given their past efforts in case anyone was wondering.

I'll meetcha halfway, and say the March - April periodMay? More like March given the release dates of Platinum and Black and White....
I meant total reboot. All the Pokemon (and regions) you knew? Never existed.I know that this gen has been all about ignoring patterns, but it seems like it's every other generation that serves as the "reboot". R/S were to an extent, and B/W most definitely were, while G/S and D/P were all about expanding on older Pokemon.
We'll see, though. Anything can happen.

Gen VI announcement, with names, launch window and maybe mascots.
Everyone -- give me your updated predictions what this big announcement is.

gaseous elementsGuesses for the next branding of the games? Colors, metals, stones? Shades of grey?
Anyone guessed B/W2 Third version yet? B/W2 Third version.
Would anyone mind if Nintendo used the models from the iOS/3DS Pokedex app, I think those Models look pretty good.
You be the judge.
You know, there was that list of newly (at the time) trademarked names two or three years back. I think it was Black, White, Gray, Brown, Purple, Orange, Scarlet, and Crimson.
Scarlot/Crimson? I know they're both reds, but it's definitely the best fitting pair out of those. Maybe Purple/Orange?
Unrelated, but going through some of the old threads is fun. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=19525632&postcount=102You know, there was that list of newly (at the time) trademarked names two or three years back. What if it's a Pokemon Yellow remake on the 3DS? Full 3D models etc. It could server as a good way to get to know the hardware and Yellow was substantially different from Green and Red to justify its own remake.
Same here, that's why I think Yellow would be a perfect candidate. They did Gen 1 remakes already, so to not look as doing the same shit over again you could do a Pokemon Thunder Yellow 3D. As I've said Yellow had quite a few changes to accomodate the Anime lore and it was signficantly better that then Gen 1 originals.Green, blue, red, yellow....either of those would work, I just want Gen I
I think Nintendo should go for the cell shaded look similar to Wind Waker, Naruto and Dragonball games. This way they can make it similar to the anime. But I have a feeling they will just use the 3D models from the 3D Pokedex app.
The battles are already too slow for my liking. I hope they don't pad them further with pointless animations and camera work.

Pokemon Amber and Pokemon Jade.
I call it!
The legendary mascots are Fire-type and Grass-type.

I dunno, I'd argue that Black and White was a more effective reboot. It completely removed itself from the prior games. Completely different part of the world, and up until the post-game, you never ran into Pokemon from the previous four generations.
Drageon. Bulky but slow, weak defenses but high SATK.
Cannot learn any special moves.
Hey, at least Flareon has a companion now!
What, they're going to remake the GBC games?
The Pokemon Twitter just asked how many Eeveelutions there are.
Trolling.
hold on let me just cell phone my pokemon in
