Holy shit its 5:30AM and I just spent the last 5 hours playing RTW.

OMG an 'RTS' game where the 'S' actually matters. Who'd have thunk it? And the battles are just insane!

Now, back to the game for me. :D

Yeah, it's a nice game. Wish my computer could run it better... Definitely more impressive than even Medieval: TW...and that's saying something.

As for most RTS games, they are more like real-time logistics games with a little bit of tactics thrown in.

As much as I love the Battles, I'm so fucking lost trying to play through the single player campaign. I'm I just dumb or something? For example, The senate tells me I need to take out some settlement ruled by our rivals. The settlement is located on an island, so I figure I'd take a boat of my guys over to this island and bust their asses. Easy enough. Of course I can't get out of my friggen ship and their navy comes out and levels me. Meh. So the next hour and a half are spent working up alliances and sneaking around with spies. BAH! I want to kill people! >:|

Might I ask if the battlefield perspective has become any more wieldy than it was in Medieval? I spent so much of my time in that game trying to spin round and strafe and pan down all at the same time, and never really felt comfortable with it. Some of the battlefield interface needed shitloads of tweaking imo.

They completely redid the battle camera in Rome, its much much easier to maneuver now.
