Sony's focus in this event will be more about the hardware than the software. I think we'll see a few first party titles and a third party montage.

This. I dont take this guy seriously anymore after some recent tweets related to Playstation. He may be fine when treating other matters as journalist but he seems biased when this is the case. I may be wrong though.

If you followed the spec threads you can tell the guy has a agenda and not a whole lot of it is substantiated by any facts.

I only look back at them every so often so I probably missed most of his posts, ah well.

Anyway, I do expect/hope that we hear some proper OS details... seeing the OS itself in action wouldn't go amiss either but I'd except some concrete details at least.

I think it will be Uncharted related, but ND may change the formula, like maybe prequel starring young Nathan and Sully with some new gameplay twist to change things up, they may even change the title into something else.

I'm very confident we'll atleast see whatever new IP Guerilla is cooking up. I am also expecting something from Evolution. 3rd parties will probably show something off too, whether those are more than glorified tech demos/logos remains to be seen.

I think you'll see a lot saved for E3 this time. It makes more sense in terms of scale and public perception.

I think we see a couple of games but the highlight of the event will be the hardware and I think the emphasis will be on the controller. E3 will be the time for 3rd party and software.

I was actually hoping for young Nathan Drake personally, young Sully as main character will play almost exactly the same as Nathan Drake. while younger Drake where he still isn't used to gun may offer more new gameplay changes like more focus for solving puzzles and sneaking around instead of shooting.

Thanks, guess Sonys marketing is better then. (or they figure a home console reveal is worth more than revealing a hand held console)

On the bright side, people can now use the word "PS4" (or whatever it's called) for any games they plan to put on it instead of "Next Generation consoles" or anything like that.

No. There are posters on this very forum that said that the 1.84TF and 4GB RAM numbers were goals months before we heard rumors. The information we had was incomplete. You're being reductionist.

People in the know have already said that we shouldn't be expecting Sony to show their full hand here. They're obviously going to put a big focus on the tech and what the system can do (like Gaikai) in order to get that info out the way before E3. But they also know that they have to at least show enough games to keep the excitement for the system at a high. They saw how Nintendo handled the Wii U's unveiling, where all eyes were on them and they just didn't have enough to show to keep that momentum. Sony can't afford to have the same thing happen to them since MS is going to be hot on their heels with the announcement of the next Xbox.

I don't expect much in the way of games. They may show two or three first party trailers and they'll likely show a third party game. It will mainly be about the controller, the system itself, some features, and maybe even the OS.

If I were Sony, I'd have a software blowout on the same day Microsoft shows their new console.

I don't even know where to start and don't know where you've been but the level of delusion in your posts is pretty impressive. Orbis has been rumored to be more powerful than Durango for a while now.

None of those sources knew much about Sony to begin with expect maybe sweetvar .
Any way i expect to see maybe 3 or 4 games and some trailers there still a good while to go .

I'm not expecting too much but a couple of high profile third party and 2-3 first party IPs should at least be there IMO.

I think we'll see quite a few first party games also because they need them to showcase the console's new features.
Telling people they have a new controller has no value if they can't get people excited about it, showing concrete examples of how it works and why it's great. I mean that's the whole sense behind the presentation.
Third parties is more complicated, they work with their own schedule and I guess that we'll see different situations, those announcing just support, those making just a technological engine demo (Epic? Square Enix?) leaving games announcement for E3 and those who could be ready to announce new games.
