[Forum Rumor] Durango Beta has 2 APUs. Console and Controller plastered with stripes.

No biggie.
New info : Durango will have 6 GB of total RAM. 5 is deticated for kinect and OS, 1 For games.
Durango will have only one gamer profile stricted.
Durango dos not support blueray movies.
Durango will have kinect as a main controller.
Durango will ship with 7 different colors: Blue,yellow, Green,brown, White, black, Pink.
Durango will require an internet connection witn at least 70Mb/S
Durango Will not support splitt screen. You have to buy another console.
Durango will only work with 50 inch and above tv's.
Durango Ships with only a console and kinect. You have to buy a controller.
Durango can not be turned on and play games unless you register a creditcard.
Durango must be turned off to cool down after being active for 2 hours.
Durango must be talked to via kinect to stay alive or it will get ill and resulting in self destruction.

You just have to look at the threads from when the sites started leaking information.
With Durango its been special sauce this, wizard jizz that and its in the data move engines, the GPU's GCN, its in the CPU, no wait its 2 APU's.
With PS4, when a site indicated Sony would match RAM, 8GB of GDDR5 was "never gonna happen"
The difference between the two bases has been alarming. One was very much grounded in reality, while the other has been away with the fucking fairies. So is it surprising that people have been taking the piss.
In all honesty, I blame the likes of Proelite & Aegies. They where the ones who started this nonsense, yet they are now virtually invisible while Reiko puts himself in a box meant for them and we label it stupid.

I think that's your own bias - there's plenty of shit in both sets of threads and there always will be if PS3 and Xbox have been anything to go by.
I guess a lot of the 'snide remarks' would stop if MS would at least deny some of the more negative rumours about online DRM, no used games, underpowered hardware and FORCED DOWN YOUR THROAT Kinect.... they could do that without revealing anything.
They are, instead, choosing to completely ignore their fanbase while Sony makes hay.
There's no real cause for any current situation other than Microsofts actions or your own response to the situation that has created.
People are uneasy because right now the best information we have suggests there's things to be uneasy about... when (if) those things are confirmed as true / untrue, then I'm sure the situation on the forums will change.
Unless you are suggested there's some sort of axe to grind, which would be odd... if anything it should be MS who has the goodwill of gamers right now - they've had a great time during the second half of this generation.
Agreed... when we found out about the ARM chip in PS4, no on went OMG IT HAS TWO CPU's - most likely any second chip is for kinect, low power functions, or runs thing like video upload in the background like on PS4.

I postyed a long time ago suggesting that the new Xbox and PS4 might have 2GB of RAM, and was called crazy for that
Yet here we are.
In all honesty, I'm not au fait with tech enough to know what's crazy and what's not. I can be mesmerised by tech talk.
But after being called a nut for suggesting 2GB (maybe even 4) of RAM is possible, I refuse to dismiss any possibility at this stage. Especially from a company with pockets as deep as Microsoft's.
Half the fun of this shit is anticipation. Don't get me wrong, we almost inevitably get let down more often than not, but still, it's exciting none the less. I was genuinely taken aback by the Dualshock 4 design for example. I genuinely like it. I actually found the most appealing reveal to be the one of the dedicated processor for background downloads and updates. It means Sony is possibly taking the OS seriously this time.

The availability of all the petaflops of the Durango hardware will depend on its mood of te moment. You'll have to cheer it up or use baby talk to get the best performances. Tell a joke to double the framerate.

it's also a case of actual specs versus guesswork. far too many statements of fact about something that has yet to be confirmed or detailed, it's just as bad. The talk of the magical abilities of some extra ram has been fairy dust too to be honest, it's the new cell.
console wars are always full of nonsense.
I just hope MS soon clarify what the are actually selling so people will know one the truth and can then have their fights about it.

This is really all that needs to be said. There was just as much crazy speculation in Orbis threads and if they are "grounded in reality" now it's because they have concrete info to go on. Kinda hard not be to be realistic as this point.
Frankly the thought of any console maker releasing hardware at this point that needs to have an online connection to function is about as "grounded in reality" as any of the crazy fan theory speculation going on in Durango threads. But since it involves MS/Xbox and negativity, it's somehow considered believable.
Now i'll wait for someone with a Kaz Avatar to come along and tell me that we are "imagining" the obvious bias in these threads.

The point is its not grounded in reality because MS supporters are putting rumours from Chinese internet forums & very early documentation above leaks from 2013.
That is exactly why people think those that think the Xbox side of this forum are just rambling. The leaks are grounded in reality, yet still they are ignored in favour of the shit thats been posted in this thread.

No. Except in a vague speculative sense where it would be an asymmetrical pair, with one running persistent OS gui/functionality stuff based on a low power config, and the other being employed during gaming.

According to some stuff I read around here, they would need more than 2.6 TFLOPS to make any real difference compared to PS4 (because 1.2 vs 1.84 wouldn't make much of a difference for some). So they still have a way to go ;D
