It doesn't look very different.
MEGATON
Although that means no Outrun/Afterburner II?
Hes talking about how sega funded bayonetta 2I just...I don't even know...
Do old school Sonic fans consider this or Sonic 2 as the better game? I have Sonic 2 on the Wii.

Will this be downloadable? Or cart only?

Well, at least when this game doesn't get released outside of Japan, it may finally fucking prompt some big name sites to ask SEGA why they haven't released a single Game Gear VC game or 3D remake in America or Europe in well over a year.
Everyone was so sure the final two games would be Afterburner II/Outrun, although this is hardly a disappointing outcome. I wonder what the fourth game will be...
I like Sonic 2 a little more, but both games are excellent. I'm not a big fan of Sonic 3, but that's because I haven't played that game much, as I used to get stuck on the second stage of Hydrocity Zone (and then the same happened on Marble Garden Zone).Do old school Sonic fans consider this or Sonic 2 as the better game? This isn't the 3D people want.
Sonic 2 is best Sonic.
Sonic 2, for sure.
Now that I'm finally seeing the link. I feel bamboozled by all the hype in this thread.
I would forgive for Sonic 3D Blast HD (with Saturn music and enhanced Bonus Stages). Or you know... some new actual 3D/Modern Sonic..... Don't be a Capcom Sega, you still have a future.

Also, we're getting the worst Sonic of the MD trilogy....Why so happy?
I just had a thought, the bonus stages in Sonic the Hedgehog 2/3/Knuckles would be AMAZING in 3D.
So, it looks different to you? All I see is the same sprites, probably with 3D layers. It's not even in widescreen.
See Sonic Unleashed Werehog
.
Because it's still a good game anyway?...

Huh. I wonder what the differences between the Japanese and overseas versions of Sonic 1 even are.
They need to get this and Space Harrier in North America ASAP. Sega's supposed to be all about this digital strategy now...what's the hold up? :|
I looked at the images in the link and seriously thought "what is different."
I am still serious, I can't see it from that website. I suppose the 3D effect is supposed to happen when you're playing the game on 3DS, but most other games seem to give you some hint of what to expect when you're looking at screens from a non-3D device... like your computer.

I can't read Japanese, but I figure that they're showing off the two versions. As far as I can tell, both images are identical except for some saturation. Sorry if I'm missing something obvious here.
I'm sorry but I'm being serious
This saying still holds true even now.Sega does what Nintendont
That's probably what it's trying to do. Space Harrier 3D had a similar mode where it made the screen tilt/move constantly to replicate the arcade versions feel.Looks like one is emulating some sort of old CRT.

All the rest are in widescreen and most of the originals are remade in polygons, so I don't know what you're talking about.
Here, guys, just get this. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002WDL53O/?tag=neogaf0e-20
There's a picture of Sonic doing a spin dash on the site somewhere.Yeah, I honestly thought they'd just stick to Arcade/Super Scaler stuff. I wouldn't mind another Genesis game like Ristar or Shinobi III.
I wonder if they'll implement the additions (Spin Dash, toggling the spike bug) from Sonic Jam. I wouldn't put it past M2 to do something like that.
