Xbox Reveal Thread: Durango Unchained

So glad I wasn't the only one that thought this was dissaponting. I am not excited for next gen what so ever...feels weird to say that.

Much more boring than expected but i'm still looking forward to E3 where they'll have a bigger focus on games I'm sure. I like the look of the console and controller.

Well that was just... awkward. Very little in depth information, almost no games shown, really strange silences where presenter was waiting for applause and suddenly all the MS employees were like "Oh shit, time to clap." It was all just really bizarre.

Not to sound like a dick here but I am really hyped that this is such a shitty looking console, was pretty sold on PS4 only next-gen, now I really have nothing to worry about in that department

Gotta wait for E3 games, but talk about extinguishing any hope or excitement I had for Xbox. The are digging themselves out from here on in

7/10. I'm not nearly as pissed off and disappointed as most seem to be. Not sure what more to expect out of a 1hr reveal commercial on live television.

I find it telling that they felt it was necessary to go over the graphical changes from MW3 to Ghosts.

Sure, I could tell the difference, but I suppose a lot of people in the audience couldn't.

Man, this was a really disappointing reveal. Nothing wowed me, nor did it make me want to purchase the One. :(

I hope E3 changes that.

It's called the Xbox One because when you see it, you'll turn one time and walk away.

Honestly, I was still planning on getting one, but no BC is a dealbreaker. I'm gonna need Alan Wake 2 or I'm out, and Remedy isn't working on it, so I think I'm out. Wow me at E3 guys. I'm counting on you guys!

No Alan Wake 2 is so disappointing (derFeef :/). It will probably never come out now :(

At least their new game looks kinda interesting. But still...

Well that was kinda shit. Lol at people actually expecting MS to have FIFA as an exclusive, instead they did what they've always done and got some bullshit exclusive content.

The show was a massive disappointment. The name is pretty bad, I don't like sports at all, i don't watch movies or TV using my 360, i'm not bothered about any of the social stuff like Skype as i have a PC for that and the reason i don't have a kinect currently (other than their being no good games) is because i have no where to put it. The most interesting thing was CoD and the Halo TV show, but even then they weren't really that good. I'm not in the US so some of the stuff they shown probably won't be available to me. No used games and mandatory installs makes it even worse.

Why would I buy Xbox one? Because they clearly don't have any fucking games. I don't give a shit about sports or tv. If I want to watch tv I'll turn on my tv.

Boring show. The first half was expected and even ok, but the second one had a terrible choice of games. Too much sport, not enough diversity. I would have been fine with an additional 30 seconds trailer with only teasers of those 15 first party games to come.

Very poor presentation. And what's the obsession with Fantasy Football? Is that the new motion control?

Think I'll just wait it out a year and upgrade my PC.

The reasons I wasn't excited for this reveal have just been etched in stone by Microsoft. How ridiculous. I think they just need to stick to operating systems.

This conference confirmed all suspicions that Microsoft is more focused on the entertainment side of things. The PS4 is going to be the stronger console across the board when it comes to anything gaming related.

That was, well, a console reveal.

Nonsense, it was an ALL IN ONE MULTIMEDIA FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT INTERACTIVE DYNAMIC MEDIA BASED MULTITASKING PROCESSING UNIT reveal! Games are for squares, our focus testing indicates.

Some cool stuff, trigger feedback, cloud computing , dedicated servers nice hardware design but honestly I'm kinda underwhelmed and without BC it looks like I'll be sitting on the NextGen sidelines for quite awhile.

Compared to the PS4, Microsoft is being a lot more ambitious with the Xbox One. The PS4 plays games, the Xbox One does that and everything else too. Clearly they are going after two separate, but still somewhat overlapping demographics. It'll be interesting to see which of the two strategies succeeds.

In terms of games, there was nothing shown that was all that interesting. Though I can't seem to recall anything that great shown at the PS4 reveal either. Graphically, virtually everything shown was a disappointment. It looks like really nice current gen stuff. I'm personally still a bit skeptical on the games front, but honestly the most intriguing aspect of the whole reveal is which of the two divergent strategies will succeed, the PS4's focus on games and games only, or the Xbox1's attempt at being an all-in-one device?

If I had to pick one now, PS4 or Xbox1, I'd say neither as they are both way too early to fully judge. I want to see more games at E3.
