What's the logic behind waiting 30 days?
It might not be up to Sony. The publishers may mandate it.
Up to ten members of your family can log in and play from your shared games library on any Xbox One.
Give your family access to your entire games library anytime, anywhere: Xbox One will enable new forms of access for families. Up to ten members of your family can log in and play from your shared games library on any Xbox One. Just like today, a family member can play your copy of Forza Motorsport at a friends house. Only now, they will see not just Forza, but all of your shared games. You can always play your games, and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time.
Whelp, this news is the nail in the coffin for me. If a game I HAVE to play comes out on the XBone I'll just go to a friends house to play it.
I like the family shit. Now me and my son don't have to buy two copies of CoD to play online. Good shit.
This sounds nice. I wouldn't mind donating games to a friend that can't afford it.
All of that sounds great.
Good stuff, Microsoft.

THANK YOU MICROSOFT FOR LETTING ME WATCH LIVE TV WHEN MY INTERNET GOES DOWN.
I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a DD version of renting to take shape this generation within Microsoft's controlled walled garden. Internet speeds are certainly fast enough for it to be feasible I think.
In our role as a game publisher, Microsoft Studios will enable you to give your games to friends or trade in your Xbox One games at participating retailers. Third party publishers may opt in or out of supporting game resale and may set up business terms or transfer fees with retailers. Microsoft does not receive any compensation as part of this. In addition, third party publishers can enable you to give games to friends. Loaning or renting games wont be available at launch, but we are exploring the possibilities with our partners.
Urg.
you can only play offline for an hour.

Also, hooray to day one DD. Will never buy another disc.
Now hold on guys maybe we're jumping the gun here and we'll get more details after E3 or nearer to the system launch, or maybe a little later, don't want to jump to any crazy conclusions!!!
arguments like this are reminding me more and more of 'Sony will charge for online play eventually... MS makes BANK. Sony would not leave all that $$ on the table!' and 8 years later PSN is STILL paywall FREE...
if Sony is restricting USED game and ha DRM, Sony employees rallying behind the #NoDRM initiative would be ridiculously counterintuitive... LOL
This actually sounds worse than before. Now publishers can completely deny you selling your used games, even at 'participating' retailers? Yeah, say goodbye to used games.
No he can't. He has to use MY account.
If you dont want the Kinect sensor on while playing games or enjoying your entertainment, you can pause Kinect.
With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library. Offline gaming is not possible after these prescribed times until you re-establish a connection, but you can still watch live TV and enjoy Blu-ray and DVD movies.

Unless its to someone on your friends list.Fuck that noise.
game publishers can enable you to trade in your games
Wonderful, so we need publishers' permission.
That's understandable, but how did it take you until now to decide this? And with that, I am never visiting Polygon ever again.
1. Microsoft will allow you to give 1st party games away, but only once.
2. Allows you to share your game library with up to 10 family members.
Being able to play all my games at a friends house sounds pretty nice
Escape hatch!
