Some Titan news: http://shingeki.tv/news/archives/388

Apparently the recap episode airing on July 6 is not "really" episode 14. On July 12 there will be an early screening event where they will screen the recap episode (again?!) as well as the real episode 14, one day before it airs. This will be the first chance for fans to see the new OP/ED as well.

---

I wonder if someone will bring some 'tough' questions related to this problem aimed at George Wada for the next Anime Expo:

Announcing Attack on Titan Producer George Wada as Guest of Honor for AX 2013 | Anime Expo® 2013 | Los Angeles Conventions Center (LACC) July 4 – 7 2013
http://www.anime-expo.org/2013/05/a...er-george-wada-as-guest-of-honor-for-ax-2013/

Or maybe he's attending AX so he can escape to America and avoid being asked tough questions back in Japan.... by his own bosses! LOL. :D

Everyone put a lot of pressure and expectations
on Yayoi's manga
.
I used to be the same as her,
down to being embarrassed showing my drawings to other people, but being praised helps giving confidence in your skills...but unlike Yayoi I'm not the type to see things through to the end, I have an idea for a manga, but I fell like I'll be stuck on character desing forever, so I've got a newfound respect for Yayoi, since she finished her manga and believed in herself and Miracle Peace, the strong heroine she looks up to.
Then the fight went all Dragon Ball...
and Aka Oni didn't look the part of a villan to me, what is going to happen to him?
=/

Smile Precure! - 42

So Nao
and Reika are childhood friends, so far as the interactions go in the show, I thought she and Akane would be it...but Akane is a transfer student
, ops.
They nailed
the look of despair on Nao's face when she thought she had lost her brothers, it would be the same for me
, I really like my young brother.
But man,
her father gonna repopulate all Japan the way he's doing, 7 kids
is a lot.

Smile Precure! - 43

Can't they
use the bookshelf trick to visit Reika in Great Britain or to Reika visit them in Japan?
=p
The fight was nice
with Beauty sword duel with Joker, and her new(?) finishing move was the only one that the last word had something to do with the attack. Adding a new word to an attacks doesn't make it new.
>___<
Joker really feels like a good villan.

Smile Precure! - 44

Poor
Wolfrun, he's not going to be the same ever again.
I fell ultra happy now, just 4 more to go...
oh no, wait, there's just 4 more to go
. =[

Indeed.

I wondered if they were going to touch on the astronauts being super weak upon returning to earth.

It's one thing to have
Aunt Sharon suffer some tragedy out of the blue. It's another one to have it be because of some fucking superstitious premonition bullshit.
I hope this is just a false lead. :/

The "
superstitious premonition bullshit
" doesn't bother me one bit.

My first thought was
Appo
, then
Sharon
appeared. Was it specifically mentioned
a person was going to die or just "come down with an illness"? Both cases would cause Mutta and Hibito pain.

Edit:

This is p. hilarious after some of the stuff recently posted in the Awesome Fanart Thread.

Holy shit, what did I just wander in to?

I need a recommendation.

What is the best new anime, in terms of story animation everything. That is around ~13 episodes and won't have a second season. I need a small bite of an anime that won't consume me. Kind of like Puella. Looking for something unique too, not just another slice of life.

Slayers Try 5

Hahahaha, Xellos is a magnificent bastard. It's disconcerting seeing Filia get under his skin because last season Xellos maintained his cool even when Gaav was beating him within an inch of his life, but on the other hand, having someone who can foil Xellos is kind of nice. Not nearly as nice as watching Xellos pick on Filia, though.

Also, I have to say at this point it is become clear that Lina did NOT kill Shabranigdo, and when she trashed him waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in S1, she apparently only sent him back to sleep. So uh, the Giga Slave isn't enough to kill the guy, I guess?

I still wonder how they're gonna shoe-horn Sylphiel in the end of this season. Three white mages in Lina's power will make things kind of silly.

Actually, come to think of it, isn't Xellos' job class technically Priest, too? But he's sort of a Priest of evil. Oh I don't know it isn't like Xellos actively participates in the team's battles anyway. So when Sylphiel no doubt arrives it'll be three clerics, a red mage, a sorceress, one warrior and Xellos cheering from the sidelines.

i told you shabranigodo isn't dead , lina however did kill & destroy the original rezo human body that was possessed/taken by him. The concept of shabranigodo is strong and he was residing in the demon realm as an entity( even destroyed they reincarnate )
If shabranigodo was trully dead, nobody would be able to use dragon slave anymore since this spell take power from him to attack.

Detective Conan 700 - The Shadow Approaching Haibara's Secret (Part 2)

I was expecting a few cop-outs and writer's conveniences for this episode, but it pretty much delivered. The case itself was simple, but solid and had a relatively touching, bordering on tragic, ending (Remember kids, if you accidentally kill your friend: 1. Stop 2. Don't panic 3. Don't harbor a grudge and 4. Turn yourself in). Haibara's escape from the burning cabin
utilizing the APTX 4869
was fulfilling. I was wondering how she could possibly escape the way she did and not give it away to the kids. Her quick thinking to concoct a relatively believable story was well played. Also, hey, Conan's gut reaction to seeing the burning house containing
what he thought to be
all of his friends was sorta intense. He's often in a position where he can be active and submit a solution, but that brief element of helplessness was well done.

This business with Amuro, Sera, and Subaru needs to come to a more transparent head soon. We've been left in the dark long enough! Judging from Amuro's expression (above) of
connecting Ai to Shiyo,
he seems to be the biggest candidate for being the Black Organization "spy" (Bourbon. I guess). Though this arc has been going on long enough that I've forgotten the finer points. Next time sequential plot episodes start up, I'll probably do a rewatch/recap of the big stuff from this arc. Excited for more.

If there's anything I continue to LOVE about Detective Conan, it's that Aoyama is a master of building suspense. He really knows how to build things up to the boiling point! ^_^

You know how certain stories wouldn't work if they weren't set in an age without mobile phones? This episode is like watching somebody scramble for a rotary phone to make a call while everyone else in town is talking on their cell in plain sight.

Serves them right for using compacts instead of mobile phones for transformation devices. They chose vanity over practicality!

Well, it's not like they ever used them sensibly in the series anyway, so what did you expect? A sudden bout of the clever thinking?
A wasted opportunity !

Zettai Bouei leviathan - 10

This anime really feel like an old school rpg !It's very predictable but it does have a LOOT of charm as a result !

Main Quest > sub quest > fetch quest

But our main heroines ..they are fun to watch but really ...this episode did one thing , it's make their friendship stronger and show how bad their planning is.

Please fire the team leader , you're making stupid decisions after decision!
Oh wait , there is no leader ! That explain it all !
Still this episode was quite great with syrop finnaly back to being the awesome fairy she is and plenty of good skits.

Leviathan is without doubt awesome. It's nothing special but it's done so well you can't help being impressed by how well it works.

Also CG dragon!

Yep, Saki likes Mai's big brother all right. I called it! She doesn't get half as flustered around him as Nagisa always did around Fuji-P, though. Nothing is capable of repressing Saki's infinite supply of smiles and positive energy. This are fact.

Poor Naruto Kenta, though. He accidentally spills tea on the book that Big Bro Kazuya lent to Saki, and Saki gets all mad at him as a result. Naturally, though, this doesn't last for long, and when the two of them run into each other both searching around town for a replacement book, they quickly apologise and make up. Big Bro Kazuya, for his part, doesn't mind that the pages are a little stained as long as the book's still readable - and besides, he's got the whole thing memorised anyway. This just manages to impress Saki even more, since she wasn't able to read a single sentence from the book without falling half-asleep. Luls.

Incidentally, the brief scene where Saki's little sister brought Naruto Kenta his tea and snacks was adorable beyond words. Saki and Minori = best sisters ever.

Oh and Kareharn made a book monster this episode because of course he would.

*Going back to the Date a Live discussion for a sec.

Tohka was easily the best thing about the show until Kurumi's appearance.

Yep, Tohka #2 and Kurumi #1, though Kurumi
kinda went out like a bitch, got slapped down hard by you know who, doubt she shows up for the rest of the season
Though I haven't seen 11 yet.

This show would have worked as a short ova because the premise is silly and it was amusing for like 45 minutes, after that the whole thing wears pretty thin.

That said, Tohka sucked and sucks even more now. Kurkumi was only good
as a troll bad-guy, err girl, and will undoubtedly suck when she shows up again
. So that leaves the best girl as Kotori who herself had been on a downward slide since the second episode and now sucks as much as the rest of the cast.
Watchin' SZS right now, why haven't I watched this sooner? Kiri Chitsu is the best SZS.
Good taste.

Kurumi and Kotori are <3
But Kurumi's not <3, well, I can't think she is. This is a problem with writing, you can't make a character who's sadistic, manipulative, deceptive and murderous and then break her character in a few days. And almost every damn show that does have a character like that breaks her and then tries to find some stupid line for her to walk where she's still sorta bad but not, it's fucking aggravating.

The immediate standoff may have ended, but I couldn't call that a resolution in any way. I guess this is the beginning of the ongoing plot of the show that I've heard about.

Patlabor TV 12

Ota has been my least favorite character so far, because his loud, brash, rash, trigger-happy nature gets on my nerves in any substantial dose. But this episode did a good job of fleshing him out as a character, showing that he does have a sensitive side and even an indoor voice. I have a feeling that he'll never succeed in his love life, which is too bad.

Oh no, an enemy attack while the Cures are in a little rowing boat atop a lake! Max Heart tried this scenario once, but it kind of sidestepped the whole "how the heck do you fight in that situation" question by having the Zakenna conveniently suck the Cures into a pocket dimension. This time, no such luck, so when Mai gets unceremoniously hurled into the air by this episode's Uzaina, some classy flying-boat stunts from Saki are required to stop her from falling into the water, before the Cures make for a nearby island where they can fight more effectively.

Also in this episode, Mai and Saki have trouble agreeing on who has the most awesome parents. Mai has an accomplished astronomer for a father and an university archaeology lecturer for a mother, and sometimes (like today) they take her out on interesting family trips. However, their academic work keeps them quite busy so they don't get so much family time. Saki's parents, meanwhile, never get to take Saki and Minori out on family trips because they have a shop to run. However, they're always together as a big happy family, and they do make the greatest bread and cakes in the world. It turns out that Saki's dad has even been turning down offers to do catering for big posh hotels so that their family can stay comfortable and happy right where they are.

...Let's just agree that both of your families are awesome, okay?

What did Tohka do to make you hate her?

Kotori is only <3 when she's not wearing the black ribbons.

Sword Art Online 12

Daaaaaaaaaaang. There are a lot of small kids playing this. Nevermind however many must've been among the 4000 dead. I really want to know what the villain's plan is that justifies killing 4k people. Which is to say I readily await the hilariously inexcusable excuse he has.

So dumb. This show is so stupid.

Love the new ending theme, and it's cool that Hastur's an agent now. I always kind of assumed he was, but it wasn't made formal until just this week. Also, Mahiro's not very good at picking up on foreshadowing. He's aware of the concept, but still getting the hang of what exactly is supposed to be the element what is foreshadowed.

Gargantia - 11

Sheeeeeeit. With the way this is turning out, the world of Gargantia may end up going through the same thing
that caused the massive Hideauze and human war.

So basically
Kugel's
plan is the same plan that *CODE GEASS R2 SPOILERS*
Schnizel from Code Geass tried to do. Enforcing peace under the threat of annihilation.

This show should have an amazing finale.

I think it was said that she's more so doing these heinous crimes out of a necessity for time or some bullshit like that and developed the whole evil persona as she went along with it with her younger, more naive version being swayed by Shido and his D of promised victory, either that or she was just a bitch since day 1. The writing in this show is so unbelievably horrendous and awkward yet I kinda liked it for some reason, my tastes may be degrading by each shitty season I experience.

Best series ever.

Haha, I just finished watching this show like, a week or so ago, and I really enjoyed it. I'm glad to see other people are enjoying it, too. It departs from the novel in a few ways, but it still manages to be a thoroughly enjoyable adaptation.

Both of you are wrong.
Lina killed and destroyed the Shabranigdo she faced, but as explained in the show, the original Shabranigdo was split into multiple parts long ago so he was not defeated in totality as a result of this.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooh yeaaaaaah. Wow, I had completely forgotten about that! Still, doesn't that mean that
Shabranigdo can only ever reach like 6/7ths of his power?
Still, that does explain why the Monster race didn't give her the respect she deserved until the end of NEXT.

The show waivers from being entertaining to my inner 14 year old and painfully stupid.

I'm just refreshed by the artwork and the somewhat lesser amount of stupid decisions in this show than in many others. Also it's the Count of Monte Cristo, so that's a definite plus.

Just know that Albert will make a lot of stupid decisions then because Albert is a horrible judge of character.

Most of the character art in this episode was horribly off-model however the episode itself was as good as ever. We all know where this story is going to go but I still enjoy watching it arrive at that destination, which speaks volumes about the actual production, direction and writing.

Episode had drunk Kero, so I approve.

Li's tearing you guys apart. If you want to defeat him, I suggest atomic wedgies. Or just use Power and beat the shit out of him. Sakura really should stop being so nice to that little shit. He deserves to be mocked and hated.

That was a pretty random thing at the end, with that little girl's mom just getting a new job and they're moving out of nowhere. Better than the alternative of her and Kero having to leave each other and have her continue to be lonely I guess. I wouldn't have been able to handle that. Boy this show sure loves dead parents, doesn't it?
