Maybe?

Shows my age (38) but when I was still using a pre-windows PC running DOS 5.0, there was a qbasic compiler built into DOS and it came with code for two games. Most people had no idea this was in there. You opened qbasic, opened the code and executed it.

I've played those, a lot. And I'm 20 so I don't think your age is that important there.

Tengai Makyou: Fuun Kabukiden

One of the best JRPGs I have ever played for the PC Engine SCD. A cinematic masterpiece that is right up there with the best RPGs of the time.
I had Ziria, ManjiMaru and Kabukiden :p

I'm not sure a whole lot of people here played Hybris on Amiga (Battle Squadron beeing the sequel most people know)

i played this pc game called Hazard. It was an RPG, like a JRPG SNES/PSX-style. I still have the box of the game! (too bad the german translation often resulted in unfinished dialogs....)

Virgin Interactive, wizard soft, SKC.

Only image I found on google was this thumb of the cover:

hazard_for_windows_839696.jpg

so, did anyone else play it? :)

I'm problably wrong, but I haven't seen or heard a single discussion about this game. Too bad, since I actually quite enjoyed it.
Have it. On PC though. Was as a full version in a local kid gaming magazine. Don't remember it being that bad, actually.

Played way too many of these, but there are some that I've never heard of.

I've played two cancelled PC games that I had a hand in during the late 90s, Confirmed Kill for Eidos, and another untitled military aircraft simulator project that fizzled. Played a few unreleased, but practically finished games at E3 for various platforms.

For released stuff, I could try and remember some, but I'm pretty sure it's difficult to name one that absolutely no one on GAF has played. Geppy-X on PS1?

I've been checking ebay for this game and its never up! How does it play?

Another one that I haven't heard about in years, though I'm sure someone here has played it. I played the PC version though, which might be harder to match.

Found another one that I recently played on a MAME machine.

PuLiRuLa

Craziest arcade game I think I have ever played.

I own that game and have played a decent amount of it. Got sick of it and never beat it, so you may still have an edge there.

Anyone play Halloween Harry? Used to play that all the time as a kid.

Also had this LotR RPG on PC that was apparently so obscure I'm having difficulties googling it.

Came to post this. Bought it at a clearance sale for $2, played it, hated it and sold it months later after it had been sitting on my shelf. It controls horrendously if I remember correctly, even with the dumb skateboard analog thing.

I've played all of Apogee's games.

Any of us who are programmers have these two to thank for it

Up next: Disney Coaster. The Matterhorn ain't got nothing on my blow-chunk educing coasters. This game had you design a wire frame of a coaster using pre-determined piece types. You would then 'test' the coaster by running through it in a pseudo-3Dish animation, after which judges would give you a score based on how much fun they had. Be careful, as you could forget to install "upstops" and the cart could leave the track, or go too fast and pull too many G's and your judges will puke.

Loved the lame judges

I have it in English, but yeah

You probably mean the DOS game listed here.

I can't think of anything I've played that was that obscure. Best I can do is this stupid flash game I spent most of my college IT class playing called Nanaca Crash:

Basically you decide the angle and power with which you get him by some girl on a bike, then you try and stay it motion as long as possible to set distance records. It might be my favourite game. Also it's flash.
Also it's amazing (and super addictive!).

Guilty Gear- Dust strikers

I used to play some weird pc games as a kid but they were so obscure I don't even remember their names.
