Sorry to ask this here.
My previous Vita order didn't come through, and I'm now contemplating buying a Vita with a game voucher as a pack in (or that pack with 10 games voucher for the hell of it.)
My quiestion is, as I'm in EU and plan to create a US account, will the vouchers still work?

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
Famitsu score

For comparison:

Grand Knights History: 36/40

is it normal for the R trigger to feel squishy?

like in a lot of games that make heavy use of the R trigger such as sonic racing and assassins creed, aveline will stop running randomly and i have to let off then push again

sonic racing not nearly as much, just once in a great while

L trigger feels fine

i dont really want to, but i was thinking about buying a white vita and migrating all my stuff to that

problem is, i remember when i transferred all my content from my 4 gig card to my 32 it was a huge pain... all the trophy information didnt carry locally... so even though i didnt lose trophies, none of the games showed as being played on my vita until i put the cartridge in again and synced with PSN

so i had to go through and put in all games and sync online to get my correct list

i assume that would happen when moving to the white vita as well? or would it be different because technically im keeping the same memory card just getting a new system?

I actually had this problem for my first vita. After that, I dropped it, and had it exchanged for a new one, and the new one was fine, no problems with it at all. I whether you get it depends on your luck.

The warranty lasts for a year I think. In any case, I don't think they will exchange the set for a squeaky trigger. It is still functional after all. There is actually a trick you can try out risk free to maybe fix your trigger. Just take an appropriately sized screwdriver and loosen or tighten the screw directly behind the trigger to see if the situation improves. Sometimes, problems with the trigger is because the screw is too tight or too loose. It depends on your specific problem, but I think it is worth a shot.

The guy in the below vid has a squeaky trigger problem and fixed it that way.

Does it squeak? I had a squeaky R trigger on my second (current) Vita and fixed it by loosening the screw (there are loads of YT videos detailing what to do).

nope, sounds perfectly normal and like the L trigger

it just seems to not be as responsive... so i just unscrewed the screw completely from behind the trigger and im going to try blowing in the crack with compressed air then re-tightening

one thing that i notice is there is a very slight gap in the side of the vita near the top right where the trigger is, and that gap does not exist on the left side

ive never dropped my vita

Should be out this afternoon for us EU chaps - killing time with some Spyro 2

I'm thinking of going a little crazy over on the PSM side of things, picking up Hermit Crab and a few others. So far, Tokyo Jungle M is a high watermark. Would love some of the higher profile iOS/Android strategy games to roll over. Bit of Starbase Orion on Vita wouldn't go astray.

Bit of RAD Soldiers, too.

PSM has been pretty decent for a couple of weeks. I hope they keep it up. I like having to buy games only once for my phone and my vita.

I picked up Switch Galaxy as well - pretty decent stuff!

As for RAD Soldiers I DO have a friend who works at Splash Damage..... he doesnt think itd be worthwhile though

I feel like I'm the only that doesn't like this game. I find it such a waste of time. Get towards the last waves and get overwhelmed. So you have to start the level all over and try different tower and/or different placement, all the while listening to the extremely tinky repetitive music.

It wasn't the most enjoyable game for me when playing by myself, on PS3.

On Vita, with a buddy, it might be alright. But I'm unfortunately too cheap to pay £10 to find out.

It's not the right price imo, £6.50 is the right price for these games.

How are we reaching that value proposition?

Edit

Not to sound defensive over the game - but I paid £30 for Bioshock: Infinite on PC and it took me... 6 hours? I paid £10 for Guacamelee and that took me 5, but I paid £2 for Tokyo Jungle Mobile and that's give me a couple of hours enjoyment already.

I wouldn't say £10 is a lot of the definitive version of PJ:M with online play.

I agree with you the price is fine. I wont buy it though as I have the psp one and know I wont play it.

Just generally what there is to do and see during those gameplay hours... It's quite a simple game, we've played before.

I would be just about okay paying £10 but I know most won't, a hell of a lot will just skip at that price. I don't think Pixel Junk Monsters is as much of a no-brainer as HM at even £6.50

But small differences can feel large though-

hotline miami originally said to be £7.30, which seems risky for some reason (before I had played it)

That looked risky. £6.50 was a no-brainer price - and just for 80p difference.

---I always complain about the price, I want them to get good sales especially with the smaller indie type games. Gaming purchases with games like this are like 60% impulse I bet, price affects impulsivity a lot.

I do agree with you - for example Pixeljunk Monsters was my very first PS3 purchase... for £3.49. It's not, what, 5 years later(?) and I'm buying the same game again with a few extras (does it come included with the encore levels?) but for like £7 more?

I think stuff may have been underpriced in the early days on PSN when companies were working out just how much to charge for their stuff, and if I didn't love PJM so much, and have a friend who loves it just as much as me, I wouldn't go in for £10.

It's a shame, because it's a wonderful game, but I worry people won't pick it up, as you rightly said, because the price isn't impulse.

Edit

Also Hermit Crab in Space is pretty awesome.

The thing is though, the PS3 version was much cheaper if my memory is right. Like almost twice (or more?) as cheap. Add to the fact that it's an old game and it's already released on the PSP as well. It's Limbo all over again. The game is too overpriced for being so freaking old (it was released in 2007?) and there's a tougher competition from other indie devs on the vita.

I just realised a Picross clone, has been released in the PSM section, there is a freee version which let you play 24 levels. I will try that.

I Wanna Be The Guy

U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
Caved in and got Guacamelee while it's still on sale. Fairly certain I'm gonna regret it in a few months when it's inevitably in the instant game collection...

I think it depends on how you look at it. What you say totally makes sense but perspective is pretty important in how each person judges it.

I dont judge PSN prices compared to Mobile or steam as I understand they are different platforms and each audience views value on that system differently.

I also never had a PS3 or PSP so I have no older / other versions to compare it to apart from the digital PSP version which was already old.

To me PSX games cost about £5 on average. Indie vita games £6-10 and full price games £20-30 pounds.

But thats just because of what I am used to and expect. Im sure if I had a PS3 I would see it the same as you and think its to much.

Ok so give your scoop on Gun Commando

I normally veer far away from PSM games because the few i bought were pretty shit. Super Crate box was fun but didnt even utilize all the screen (black bars on left and right like it wasnt optimized for vita over smartphone devices)

and lemmings was awful. so was alien breed

but im like DYING over here for FPS to play on Vita.

I played through Resistance twice for the plat and have almost plat'd COD BOD

that leaves gun commando.

i would LOVE a doom style game but the reviews made it seem pretty mediocre. Im in the process of emailing various people at ID and hitting up Carmacks twitter about porting Doom Classic Complete thats already on PSN (PS3 only) to the vita

but i need something to hold me over

my mind is blown that no indie devs are making doom style clones considering how easy and cheap it should be, and lots of people with nostalgia would totally buy

What the... Why did Muramasa Wii score higher than Muramasa Vita?

Probably because the game has nothing new to offer except for the DLC which hasn't been released yet in Japan.

Also, is GrimGrimoire bad, like even worse than Odin Sphere?

Grease it up.

lol, that actually worked.
My vita looked scared at first when i pulled out the vaseline, but the squeaky noise is gone now. Thanks.

If anyone has a similar problem.
I used this one

So I've picked up Adventure Bar Labyrinth - and aside from the ugly ass UI on either side of the screen (can you turn that off?) It's pretty damn fun so far!
