me either. I've watched other people (many others) who are better than I am play the game, and I have envy.

P.S. My "you guys" comment was more so directed at people who kept bringing it up. I'm not defending his argument that journalists are removed from other gamers (or whatever his exact wording was). Rather, I think people were seeing his comments about the length and responding because they thought he was being dishonest. Perhaps I just read the discussion wrong.

How is it cheating if website shows game in-stock ready to ship? If it was their mistake, either they should let easily cancel order or just ship it. Why go through all hassle of shipping order and let customers refuse the shipment if they don't want it?

The order was shipped early and is being held by UPS so that it arrives at people's doors on day 1. That is why they are already shipped. All you have to do now is simply deny it at the door.

You try to cheat the system, get a game BEFORE the fucking launch, Newegg blocks it, you get pissed and say they're unprofessiona? Wow...that's really sad dude. They're one of the best Web sites for selling computer equipment. No one touches them.

And UPS said the game will be shipped tomorrow, nothing wrong with that. Their Web site updates slowly sometimes and they might have just received the information. If it's next-day air, that'll happen.
You're fucking stupid if you think buying a game, when it's supposedly in stock, is "cheating the system".

It was not a mistake, on Newegg's behalf--it was purposely done so they could make $$$.

If anyone finds Fog, let me know. I must have it!
Hey could you check something for me, are there any items in Forge that are basically immovable and that are kinda short? I need to know if forge map I am thinking about will work.

You know in the midst of all this I totally forgot....

Today is my 1 year anniversary from quitting smoking.
It's been 1 year today since I've even puffed from a cigarette.

Sunday FTW!
Congrats man.

Your proof of that? Any... at all? You post on an internet gaming message board where we all know the game is released on the 25th. You should have known better.

Anyways, I'm not getting back into this argument.

Review scores are fantastic and I'm in gaming bliss at the moment.

Ok, about the whole AA "problem", here is what H3 looks like 95% of the time in terms of jaggies. No problem at all:

And from times to times it looks like this:

Images linked because the most hardcore of you guys might consider anything a spoiler...

THX for confirmig that it's not my TV BlimBlim ;)

(although I knew after playing the Timeshift demo because that game has full AA and no jaggies at all. Impressive. The rest of the game though not so much :lol )

I think the only short thing that's immovable is the concrete barrier. There's a short and tall version. The edges of it can be blown away with grenades and such, but it's pretty much immovable. I haven't spent as much time in Forge as others, though, so maybe someone else can answer better.

Honestly, I think with enough time and patience, you'll be able to make whatever you want.

That sounds like it will be good enough for my purposes:D

Personally I have yet to buy it but I think if it is their mistake they should at least make cancellation of order easy. I know all websites follow this same procedure of telling customer to refuse shipment for full refund. Why can't they just recall shipment from UPS instead?

I have bought lots of stuff from newegg. And that website rocks. One of the best on the web.

Can you simply recall a shipment once it is sent out or does it have to reach the customer before it can be sent back? I've never tried calling anything back so I don't know how that works.

Do we have an attract video yet?

I've been asking for this for a whole week. Someone make it happen.

That is an opinion piece my friend.

Relax. In two days you will have Halo. Hell, maybe you get lucky and Newegg gets you your shipment for tomorrow. In the meantime, rejoice with the rest of us over the glory that is Halo 3.
Indeed. This argument is silly.
Halo 3 is here, and that's all that matters.

Apparantly, Doug Perry's GameTap review has major spoilers. Be careful.

EDIT: Not fully according to Skip, but it sounds like it should be avoided if you want to be spoiler-free.

I don't know. I assumed as a corporate customer they can have this service. Anyway let's drop this. Kind of off-topic.

That sort of thing happens a lot on PC games, so I would imagine it is just a issue with caching from the hard drive.
