If they're going to pay for a Vita SE game why not get a sequel to it at least. Seems pretty silly to pay for a port of a game that came out years ago.

I don't understand why Sony has this event if TGS is a week and a half away. Seems rather strange, they could have had a nice big meaty event at TGS with release date and game announcements like Yakuza, Dynasty Warriors, Deep Down, Hot Shots and etc. Now they will have 2 shitty events as they going to have this event about release date and 1 or 2 new games, then TGS with a few more games. It would have made more sense to just have everything in one event. Perhaps maybe rumoured Vita XL is true which is the reason why they need 2 events.

Now that Square is basically focusing so much on mobile, I think we won't ever get the game we dreamed about. Maybe in like 10-15 years when mobile phones make Xbone and PS4 look like crapola or something. It pains me everyday!

I kinda believe FF7 remake is a last option to gain revenue when other games don't do well. If doing so badly, then trout ff7 to the fans and make us ckamor for it. Plus dlc, etc etc..

I fully expect this to be a PS4 party but have they confirmed thats all there will be? Or is there a chance they'd show off a shiny new Vita title or two (if any are in development lol).

You guys keep talking FF remakes and clearly the only real choices for remakes are FFV and FFVI on Vita. Or a PS4 FFIV remake with the quality and budget that would make FFXIII look like an EDF game.

At this point I don't think it is. The team cited too many technical problems on PS3 and Shuhei Yoshida's comments on the whole situation point to the game having moved to PS4 by now.

If VI gets a remake, it will be on the 3DS. I recall reading a article way back when that Squeenix was interested in remaking V and VI for the 3DS (but V ended up being on the iPhone with VI prolly getting the same treatment as well )
