Infinity Ward ops to show PS4 footage for COD IGN vids- a series first since MS deal?

A bit on topic about their first video today on the Squads mode, it actually seems potentially neat. I hadn't followed the game pretty much at all, but this actually seems kind of awesome when you're playing with friends who are into the horde-esque modes, or if you want to just mess around a bit and not play against people who will call you racail slurs and whanot. I'm actually kind of intrigued.

I wouldn't read much into it.

Well yeah, of course it happened to be what they played on, because Infinity Ward chose it. :p

Yeah, I don't think they'd show up with the PS4 build and tell Scott, "we didn't want to bring the XB1 version cause it looks like shit".

I've played the ps4 version at eurogamer expo and it is MUCH than the Xbox one version. You will say wow!

Since he lists out that it's the PS4 at 1080p, is that a hint that maybe the Xbone version isn't 1080p? Otherwise why wouldn't they use the Xbone version?
Activision at the reveal stated it was slated for 1080/60 on both systems but seeing as MS is having a hell of a time getting their own 1st party titles to that benchmark while have "next-gen" visuals it would be more interesting to me to see what compromises are being made on the Xbone version to achieve those standards. Especially if they are giving the PS4 version prime coverage at one of the most well knowing gaming media sites(not saying good).

I wonder if it's the 'your enemies enemy is your friend' principle. It's been pretty clear since EA announced their big partnership with Microsoft that every other large publisher appears to be slightly more interested in co promoting their games with the PS4. Ubisoft doesn't bother to hide it. Bethedsa/Zenimax were at the Sony E3 conference. Take Two and GTA5 pushed the PS3 to the top of the NA market for the first time in three years. Activision didn't even bother mentioning a Xbox One version of its biggest new IP (Destiny) for a while. The MSFT/COD co promotion DLC contract is a holdover from the current generation and Activision appears to be honoring an existing contract but not going an inch further to promote a console backed by its biggest rival (EA).

Then again all this matters very little. At the end of the day all the major games from all the major third party publishers will be on both platforms (even Titanfall) and most gamers know that. All these 'co marketing' agreements accomplish is they make a bunch of marketing execs feel good about themselves and provide them with bullet points to spin into a huge push for a promotion/bigger bonus.

With BF4 and Killzone out there, man this game looks so bad lol.

Heck even Blacklight Retribution gives this game a run for its money, and that is F2P made by an indie team.

But, it is sort of like EA with Madden. They know it will sell, so they do not exactly have to push the boundaries with each new iteration.

Clicked on the videos to see gameplay and only saw menus. That's what I get from not reading the posts.

Hopefully tomorrow there is gameplay.
