If you had a GAF premium account, you would only be in page 31. GAF Premium allows you to see as much as 100 posts per page. Contact Bish for a free trialSeems like we're on the fast track to 100 pages.

Maybe it's just to me, but isn't it immoral to keep potentially big technical news from consumers after the whole RRoD debacle?
Insiders really should spill the beans now and save people spending 500 bones on what might be fundamentally broken tech.
That's just my opinion though...
Lets see where the problems lie:
120 million to build a controller when yours is already considered the best.
NFL Exclusivity deal for features that are frankly much cooler on a tablet.
DLC exclusives for games.
Spend a lot of R&D budget on Kinect 2 and make your hardware decisions based primarily on it's latency needs.
Why not spend all of that money on...I don't know, game studios & better hardware.

Par for the course. Thanks. What is the bigger revelation; is that in reference to the PM sent to mods from Lord Buttocks? What's the speculation surrounding that along with CBOAT's cryptic "wait for launch"? What the eff is he alluding to?
Won't somebody, please, think about the money?insiders don't want to potentially lose their jobs and MS/game devs don't want certain things to leak because it could hurt sales for them.
MS surely wouldn't release a buggy OS prone to crashing would they?

I think there are other companies that will push Sony harder than MS.
Have you ever looked at the back of any 360/PS3 game case and noticed they all say 1080p as well???
Nah MS never releases buggy crash prone OSes.MS surely wouldn't release a buggy OS prone to crashing would they?
for the record that is entirely my conjecture
Microsoft should at least have the common courtesy to give a free reach around to each of us that ordered the XDone.
SC port on PS2 and GC was botch job, not the best example.
MS would lose millions/billions on all of the manufactured consoles if there is a delay and spec change. I just don't see this happening with the current stockholder feelings about the division.
Hmmm.
Makes me wonder now. Confirming it's above 720p but not confirming it's 1080p seems to indicate that it's likely in between. Sucks if true.
Oh, SNAP. Nice....the XDone.
Valve? I really hope so! As i said, I don't know if they are after the same audience. Nintendo isn't really in the picture, unfortunately. Hope they come up with a Wii U successor soon.
PS3 games generally don't, unless they do output 1080p (though that includes resolutions like 1280x1080 in GT5's case), since the PS3 itself doesn't upscale from 720p.
1. Conrad confirms BF4, Ghosts and KI are 720p on Xbox One.
2. Bish hints that if he revealed what he knows via PMs he's received, he'd be going back to the fallout shelter.
3. People start summoning CBOAT.
4. CBOAT materializes, basically says resolutions should be the least of concerns, significant tech issues currently.
5. Poster speculates MS execs/suits meddled with Xbox One's design.
6. CBOAT posts: Fact
7. Various tweets calling out Gies.
8. Gies pretty much confirms dev tools are not up to snuff right now.
MS surely wouldn't release a buggy OS prone to crashing would they?
Well I know... and unlike Ryse, BF4 is a FPS. I know.
Speaking of 30fps, I can't wait for the next gen Batman game to come out in a couple years or whenever it does.
Seriously?Microsoft should at least have the common courtesy to give a free reach around to each of us that ordered the XDone.

I agree. But then again, what the hell do I know.
The bigger problem though, why the hell are none of the gaming journalists ("journalists"?) reporting on this? Someone has to know something? What are they afraid of? This has to be of public interest, and the fact that big corporations wants to keep it secret can't possibly be a good reason not to write about it? FFS, that is in and of itself a reason to write about it!
People are spending money on this crap. They should be allowed to make an informed decision.
Hmm, so this is the confirmed [either officially, by pixel counting or by leak] resolutions for XB1 launch games so far? Italicized exclusives.
Battlefield 4 - 720p
Call of Duty: Ghosts - 720p
FIFA 14 - 1080p
Forza Motorsport 5 - 1080p
Killer Instinct - 720p
LocoCycle - 1080p
NBA 2K14 - 1080p
Powerstar Golf - 720p
Ryse - 900p
Zoo Tycoon - 1080p
I'm curious what the resolutions are for other launch games where developers have been keeping quiet now though: Need for Speed: Rivals and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
insiders don't want to potentially lose their jobs and MS/game devs don't want certain things to leak because it could hurt sales for them.
I absolutely agree. But we don't know what they are. I am of the camp that if there's something majorly wrong with this system, it's best for the consumer to be informed. Those in the know should say something. If I was getting an Xbox One, I would cancel my pre-order based on this potential claim, seeing as it's been implied by Bish and cboat that this could be a fucking firestorm on GAF. It has to be something major. I can't even think what could be yet another blunder for the system. Is the DRM still in the system, ready to be activated after X period of time or something?
Oh, I don't really want to derail this thread but I'm not thinking hardware, I'm thinking Gaikai, channels and content.
Well, they released Windows NT
do you have these bigger?
Since the Xbox was announced I've just felt that Microsoft weren't ready for what they were doing and everything since then feels like it's purely reactionary because of something that Sony are doing.I still find it really weird that Sony could be ahead of Microsoft in terms of the whole dev tools aspect. Devs Tools are their bloody bread and butter. Its one of their core strengths. Admittedly they are juggling a whole bunch of different platforms at the same time (though they are all based around the Win8 core), and they've been going through the whole restructure. But still.
They already lost the power arms race. But will they fail on games selection is the question.By doing that, they basically give up the entire generation.
Hmmm.
Makes me wonder now. Confirming it's above 720p but not confirming it's 1080p seems to indicate that it's likely in between. Sucks if true.
yeah, I get that, but it hasn't stopped CBOAT do far. This seems pretty big news about the tech side of the X1, that alone raises so many red flags after RRoD, that it seems wrong not to spill the beans.
agreed. If it's potentially on the scale of RRoD, it seems wrong to not tell people now...
Have you ever looked at the back of any 360/PS3 game case and noticed they all say 1080p as well???
Imagine if these 'tech issues' are another RROD waiting to happen. That would be cray.
