Sure that was buggy. But really post ME I've never really had any major issues with Microsoft OSes. I don't even get the Vista hate. Aside from a lack of some 64b drivers from some third parties and that it was too heavy for the cheap end of laptops I found it perfectly fine. Hell 7 was more or less just Vista optimised to run better on crappier hardware.

I don't think anyone is berating Xbox One for not being able to hit 1080p other than pure shock it can't handle a game as ugly for this new generation like Call of Duty. Many people are more alarmed about what all this means under the hood, on a more technical level. It's been implied there is more to this than what we already know. I don't think it's far fetched to assume the underperformance in visuals and what may be a technical megaton are correlated. Something's amiss when Cowwadooty can't hit 1080p when it's a game that's not even trying.

Can you give us details on your personal experience with the "3 crappy OS"? Sounds like you have used it already enough to call it crappy, so I am sure that the rest of us would like to know some specifics on what makes it crappy.

Unreal Engine 3 games on PS3 is mostly what I'm getting at. It took years before they ran as smoothly as they did on 360.

I'm not being defensive or offensive btw, I couldn't care less about one console over the other. But this situation really does seem familiar, with what little we actually know for the time being.

"Xbox" is not a technology though really. It's whatever bits and pieces make the most sense in the current setting, and that's usually relatively new components. By the end of next year people will probably be playing N64 ROMs on their watches, but if Nintendo made a "Super N64" that matched specs with a PS4 it would be about the size of a PS4.

consider the fact that CBOAT has been risking his career and his families livelihood for the past year just to give a bunch of forum goers a bit of juicy info, I don't think any of us have the moral high ground.

If he can't spill it, he can't spill it. Be grateful for what we have got so far.

If I was in his position, I wouldn't tell anyone shit.

2014 will be a very veeeeeeeeeeeeery interesting year. Especially next year if CoD Black Ops 3(?) launches on Xbone at 720p while the PS4 version is 1080p.

What possible tech issues could actually arise less than a month before release? X1 games will be going gold any time now and X1 is already in production.
