I must stay strong and wait for Arkham Origins Game Of The Year Edition. I must stay strong and not repeat the regret I went through the last two 3D games.

Papo & Yo is 1 dollar on IndieGameStand today, with a Steam key of course.

The game rules guys. Scoop it up!

Crazy good game with excellent storytelling and a good message, more people should play it especially if you liked Alice Madness Returns.

I can't well miss out on this. Thanks for the heads up and recommendation.

there have been about 5 patches since release, including one 3.1GB patch. it's still a little buggy but i'm pretty sure all of the game breaking bugs have been fixed

I bought it since it's about 14€ and it won't go near that price on the autumn or winter sale.

I'm pretty sure they patched most of the important stuff. AO is great and definitely worth it if you're a fan of the series.

Tempting, but I'll just wait for the "GOTY" edition next year.

Games with so much DLC always gets me to just wait to buy a game, especially if it's a franchise with history on having GOTY editions.

My favorite Batman game so far. It's the only batman game where I actually bothered to pick up all the enigma/riddler stuff. The bugs, the criticla ones at least, have been fixed too, and it runs really well, and looks amazing. Those Physx effects really do add to the emmersion.

Yes it's almost as good as Arkham City and it actually does some things better. The story for instance is a million times better and the combat is faster because enemies are almost always attacking.

Ok, thank you guys. Will pick it up then. I really enjoyed the first two games so I am looking forward to stalking my prey again.

It's kinda weird that Bioshock Infinite is $20 on Amazon, but the Bioshock Triple Pack which comes with all 3 Bioshock's is $15. I would think that they would sell each individual Bioshock's at like $7 each because of that.

I might pick up Infinite (not the Amazon one). I played it on my friend's PS3, but I'd love to play it on PC.

EDIT: Also, can someone explain the free game that comes with any of the 4 games you buy on GMG? They aren't real specific about what game you can get, does it have to be a certain price, is it random? The site didn't give an explanation very well (or at least I didn't see).

So is Outlast any good?

Looks interesting but not sure if I should pull the trigger.

Well like I already said some pages (= years) ago, if you are not allergic to jump scares (or are reasonable with how you play it, no headphone if you want to live) it's a really great games until the last segment. There a lot of people think the plot goes totally bonkers and it results in a meh feeling.
If you except the end, the game was on par with Amnesia in sheer pleasure for me.
But the ending is divisive, there is no denying it.

I'm thinking about picking up Skyrim Legendary Edition, and I want to hear opinions from people who usually are not huge fans of Bethesda games, like Derrick. I played a little bit (very tiny amount) of vanilla Skyrim a few years back, and it didn't grab me then.

Gone Home is a gem. Not only because the great use of the enviromental narrative, but also because it knows how the player's mind works. The game knows our unconscious knowledge about cliches and takes advantage of that creating situations to make the player imagine something and surprise him later with a completely different outcome. It's a very mature game in this aspect.

Gone Home also has a very nice multi-layered story that almost made me shed a tear at the end.

As much as I want Arkham Origins for $20 I think I'm willing to wait on the GOTY content before I dive in.

I'll probably do the steam playthrough of Arkham Asylum first (beat it on 360 way back when) and then Origins GOTY.

Dont expect a good and deep main story or polished gameplay and maybe you can have fun moding the game.

How well does AO scale? If we could play AC on our PC's, could we run AO?

Should scale well. The textures don't appear that improved if at all, and you can always forego using the upper AA settings. I have a GTX 670 and I can play AO maxed at 1080p/30-60FPS, IIRC.

If you're trying to dissuade yourself from buying it, then don't buy it.

So I bought Dead Island Riptide from Amazon. Turns out it's region locked and I can't redeem it in Sweden... :/

Anyone interested in trading for another game?

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Really tempted to pick up Burial at Sea Episode 1 from GMG for $9, but I have a feeling the DLC will be on sale for much cheaper around Christmas and I can wait.

Just gonna get a pack with all the DLC for like $5 sometime next year or whenever.
Not really in a rush to play more Bioshock.

Is trials evolution a good port now? I know it had issues at launch.
When most of the threads on the forums are bitching about stutter and inability to install I usually just steer clear. There is a guide that states 1920*1080 and 1280*720 are the optimum resolutions to avoid stutter.
Is Dark Souls going to remove the games for windows? If not how will that affect the game?
The multiplayer is really good and makes the game a little easier as you can invite experienced players into your world for co-op. It will be a huge loss for that community when it goes.

Complete GTA pack for $10? Sounds good but... is it a good time for buying that?

It's just I've heard GTA IV still have that GFWL DRM, and I was wondering if Rockstar has plans to patch it... or, if not, will I be able to play the single player part just fine?

Kinda what I was thinking. I still need to finish Bioshock 2.

Read from a few comments that it's supposedly a scary game; any truth to that? If it is, is it due to the game having jump scares or moreso because of a creepy atmosphere?

Missed the flash sale, but I'm still interested in Gone Home when it goes to daily status as long "being scary" isn't its focus point.

Me too, but It's almost confirmed that it won't.

However, as per the rule, I'll only buy non-daily deal games at the end of the Winter Sale.

I belive Chubigans said it wont.

I own Cook, Serve, Delicious! and regardless of any discount being applied or not if you can afford it, you need to buy it. At the surface it's a pretty chill game but underneath that thin veneer of placidness lies a tornado of cheese, condiments, seafood and other assorted foodstuffs. This game will give you culinary PTSD and then some. To other people this:
Code:
PSMCRPSMCRPSCR
is just a string of characters -- to me this is a meat lasagna fit for the gods and equivalent in taste to the finest ambrosia. I can make these really fast, yet no matter how fast I make them these serfs keep coming in and demanding more, don't they know artistry takes time. But that's not bad enough no.
Imagine this I'm sitting there pounding out a 3 lasagna order, every one slightly different in the layering technique required. Rush hour has just started.
Code:
PSMCRPSMCRPSCR
PSVCRPSVCRPSCR
PSMCRPSVCRPSCR
In walks some guy who wants steak, not just a regular ass steak -- I'm good with those, I make them all the time, no he wants the new addition to the menu goddamn bacon smoke powdered citrus juice steak. Fine, I get to work but before I have even added the bacon powder two more peons walk in, one wants a burger - the other just wants a chicken breast. I rush through my steak order to get it on the grill in time, I'm fairly sure it was over seasoned smoked baconed and whatever else needed to be done with it but it's his fault for ordering something new during rush hour. I throw a meat patty on the grill for the burger while I'm at it, now it's just the chicken. It needs to be tenderized, not just tenderized but specifically tenderized, this needs the quantum science of tenderization - I get it done and on the grill though. Unfortunately during this time 2/3ds of my lasagnas have burnt to a crisp, the third customer lucked out and got himself a delicious if slightly overheated one though. Steak was terrible, I can tell by the look on their face, the customer was all frowny and red. The burger was my crowning glory yet this regained honour was quickly vanquished by my terrible chicken.

Oh god I went completely off the rails, sorry - I'm currently in treatment and seeing a psychiatrist for my issues.

TL;DR Cook, Serve, Delicious! is really good, please buy it :D

Any impressions on LEGO Marvel Superheroes? I love LEGO games and Marvel. Was thinking of playing it right away after I finish Zelda on the 3DS
on the last dungeon

Just wondering if it's a good LEGO game
