Bandai Namco: il nuovo motore grafico sviluppato dal supervisore del Fox Engine
Bandai Namco Entertainment sta realizzando un nuovo motore grafico proprietario, e per farlo si è affidata a Julien Merceron.

In view of its further expansion and growth in the gaming market, Bandai Namco Entertainment has begun the development of a new proprietary graphics engine. The company's intention is to become technologically independent and create new ambitious open world experiences.
The Chief Technology Officer in charge of directing the work on the new graphics engine is Julien Merceron , former supervisor of the Fox Engine used by Konami for Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain and, more extensively, for the eFootball series. Merceron has stated that it will be an engine designed to better support large-scale games , first on all open worlds.
"The reason for the in-house production is that we want to continue to have the technological capabilities to build a solid foundation on our own, rather than rely on game engines made by other companies ," said Bandai Namco's Yoshiyasu Horiuchi. "I think the development started in 2018. Subsequently, the concept of the game engine was verified by several people and, based on this prototyping, the full-scale development started around 2019 " .
The engine does not yet have a name, but it should be ready to be used in the development of the next games made in-house by Bandai Namco within the next year.
