Pfft, Nier is still extremely anime as far as 'derivative' is concerned. Women who fight in their under wear and sidekicks that cry at the drop of a hat.

Mechanically Zelda is pushing the envelope.

Is this a joke? They're pushing the envelope of the early 2000s maybe (as usual). Open world games have been done for quite a while. Skyrim, the game that inspired them, is already 6 years old itself

If bayonetta 2 was unable to beat shadow of mordor (basically a 9.5 game against a 7.5 to 8.0 game) there is no way zelda is going to beat the next big thing on ps4 whatever that may be

But zelda is much more mainstream than Bayonetta. And Lord of the Ring automatically brings more point than Bayonetta, which is a game that is for a niche audience.

Zelda is not Bayonetta by a long shot. OoT was still (at least until BotW) considered more that any other game to be the greatest game of all time. Zelda has more critical clout than pretty much any other series. I'd say GTA comes close but even V wad beaten by the last of us.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free

Comparing Bayonetta to Zelda... lol. Bayo is niche while Zelda is one of the biggest most acclaimed IPs in Gaming.

Not saying it will be GoTY this early.... But it def. wouldn't lose against some 8.0 titles ala Shadow of Mordor.
