Probability wise, at least one of these zombie coop shooter games has to be good, right?

So this is what days gone 2 would have been if it was a GAAS.
Dunno if this is GAAS or not. Saber Interactive makes very decent co-op zombie games. Last one I played was great I think it was called World War Z. Regardless, they are a developer that overtime has improved in game development imo.

Focus has an exclusive 10-year deal with Chaosium for games based off the Call of Cthulhu tabletop game. I would like to see more of that but John Carpenter pretty cool too.

John Carpenter should produce a Lovecraftian horror game instead of generic zombie shooter nr. 456. A new game based on The Thing with modern tech and mechanics would be amazing. Or perhaps do something related to In the mouth of madness. Carpenter used to be the master of horror and then he puts his name on this? Unfathomable. Still love the old bugger though

Looks bad. 10 FPS in most of the gameplay clips lmao and wont look anywhere near what was shown in that trailer. It'll prolly be worse than B4B and I really enjoyed that one.

I also wonder how involved Carpenter is in this project.
To me it feels like they just paid for his name.
I wonder if it would be really worth something him being a consultant? And if it even matters if it is not just another Tom Clancy like branding.
He did some quite important movies decades ago, and even did the singer songwriter equivalent for movies, which is rare, but his career is kinda dead for a while now. His name has still value so if he would present some movie idea film studios would listen, but that seems to not have happened. He did not even get (maybe did not want) a direction job for Blade, or Twilight, or Dracula, or Grimm's Brothers etc. whatever, something that might interest him, doing contract work if his own scripts are not that great anymore. He is hardly just a one hit wonder, but feels like his skills might have worked only in that era for his very own ideas but beyond that he either does not want to do more today or nothing he proposes gets greenlit.
