Have you ever seen Legend of Galactic Heroes? It's a sci-fi anime which you may like, based on your list.
I'm not usually the biggest fan of anime but I find it and Ghost in the Shell to be absolute top tier.

Nope, never even heard about it. I'll check it out.

I'm also not really into anime anymore. Well, I never watched that much anime TBH, but over the last 10-15 years I've gone from watching two or three anime shows a year to watching maybe one every 2 or 3 years. The last anime I truly loved was Stand Alone Complex (probably my favorite anime show ever though)

The Seven Samurai
Mulholland Drive
Blade Runner
The Big Lebowski
The Royal Tenebaums
Conan The Barbarian
The Social Network
Heat
Goodfellas
Sicario

TBH those are the first 10 that sprang to mind, but I dare say on a different day I'd go with something different (I feel bad about the lack of James Cameron). I watch a lot of films, so trying to pick 10 is hard. Plus I rally against immediacy, which is why I've not put Parasite in there, even though after a couple of viewings I can see it's going to become a bona fide classic.

It's called trolling

It starts with two films, My Conquest is the Sea of Stars (1988), & Overture to a New War (1993), which lead into the 110 episode show. Would definetely recommend both those films (especially the latter) to gauge if it's your thing or not.

Man, I don't know?

Favorite as in I could watch them over and over again, anytime...

Let's try, in no order:

The Goonies
Big Trouble in Little China
Top Gun
Aliens
Predator
Terminator 2: Judgement Day
Euro Trip
Avengers: Endgame
Starship Troopers
Edge of Tomorrow

I don't count these as different movies when ranking:

Pirates of the Caribbean 1, 2, 3
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
The Star Wars Trilogy (OT)

That's a lot of Sci-Fi.. I am sure I'd replace some with some comedies depending on my mood, but I absolutely would watch any of those if they were on TV, at any point.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl is probably my #1 overall movie, for forever. I just enjoy the everliving fuck out of it, still, to this day.

I make no promises at all that I'll get through the list.

Total draft count: 7

1. Red Beard (Akahige) - Akira Kurosawa
"Chobo! Chooboooo!"
2. The Fifth Element - Luc Besson
"Supagreen"

3. The Shining - Stanley Kubrick
"Bash em right tha Fuck. In."
4. Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind - Hayao Miyazaki i guess
"火の7日間"

5. Rear Window - Alfred Hitchcock
"She's not in love with him, or any of them"

6. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - No Idea
"That's for blasphemy!"

7. Star Wars Ep 5: The Empire Strikes Back - George Lucas?
"I knew it I'm surrounded by Assholes!"

8. There Will Be Blood - Who Knows
"I have a competition in me"

9. Michael Clayton - You Gotta Be Kidding Me
"You're so fucked"
10. Ronin - Robert DeNiro made this movie, regardless of who made this movie.
"Draw it again!"

No order and I’m sure I’m forgetting some but I love these movies

Empire Strikes Back
Jurassic Park
Old School
Saving Private Ryan
The Shining
The Dark Knight
Inception
Boogie Nights
Goodfellas

I wanna give an honorable mention to Endgame. It’s not perfect, I think I liked Infinity War more, and it’s actually not even my favorite marvel flick (that goes to Civil War), but.... well since it hit iTunes we’ve watched it a whole bunch of times and I think that says something.

edit: somehow I had TDK twice, oops

I don't have favorite films but I'm in an nostalgic 90s mood so here's a few flicks I'm rather fond of at the moment.

Scream (must have seen this movie more than any other)
Misery (masterful suspense)
Batman & Robin (it's a bad Batman film but it has its campy popcorn charm)
Titanic (some seriously solid film-making)
Edward Scissorhands (delightfully weird)
The Truman Show (Philip Glass's OST is love)
Langoliers (it's a GREAT tv movie, fuck off)
Eyes Wide Shut (watch this afterhours for added effect)

Evil Calvin

Afraid of Boobs
