It being connected to your TV doesn't mean a thing. The vita did the same thing.

The problem with Xbox installbase is that acceleration of sales (second derivative) is negative and stayed there for a long time and there is literally nothing on horizon that will change situation - all MS decisions and game output so far ensure that 2nd derivative will stay negative and console will sell less and less each year
