Last month there was some information from Yuu [of Yuu's Game Antenna] that a PS2 price-drop and PStwo announcement was coming. If it was going to be announced, then today was apparently the most likely day it would happen. Looking at SCE's past announcements, including the particularly impressive ones they had at the end of 2001, you could imagine the following schedule:
Notice to the press today at 3-4pm
Announcement meeting at 5-6pm
Commercial broadcasts starting tomorrow
Of course, this is assuming the announcement actually happens.
Even if there isn't any price drop or TV-ad announcement, I'd still like to see the PS group announce a new summer campaign or something. There's still a fair amount of time before the next PS Meeting, besides.
