This.......is a little overwhelming.

They wrote an unbelievable amount of Rapport conversations for this game. It would probably take me a week just to sit there and read all of these one by one. Anyways, I'm gonna just pick a damn waifu and marry her and finish the goddamn game, I'm 140+ hours in and I wanna see the goddamn ending at this point. I can circle back and read all this stuff and marry more waifus afterwards since the game lets you redo marriage repeatedly in the post-game to see all the unique endings if you feel like it

Done! Feel free to contact Atlus and ask for a commission fee. Not a clue when I'll get around to playing it, but there's no way I'm passing up some Ogre Battle esque goodness.

One question for anyone. Personally I think the whole "waifu" thing is dumb and in Fire Emblem I refuse to participate out of spite. Am I allowed to do that here as well? It's just my own little rebellion against the thought that I'm supposed to be vicariously living through these people as opposed to just enjoying some fun gameplay; it's not a big deal either way.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

You've got to "commit yourself" to some other character in the game - the romance aspect of that commitment is implied. This is a requirement for finishing the campaign.

You can also marry dudes, if that's your thing.

Cleared the game, only to find out there is a Final Final Final Quest you have to clear to earn the last trophy you need for the Platinum LMAO. Fuck this, I'll do it tomorrow

This game is an instant classic and one of the best games I've played in years. I would argue it's far and away the best SPRG I've played in the 21st century, the only game which comes close to this game I can think of is Valkyria Chronicles

I find Eltolinde to be the very obvious best waifu.

Their relationship is very passionate where the others are horribly stifled even where there is supposedly deep love. A few have the girls passionate for Alain and he's just all formal with them. With Eltolinde they are both able to put away their dutiful formality and be candid with each other, which he can't even truly manage with Scarlett at peak rapport. Besides this, the Ring of the Maiden literally comes from Eltolinde's line, so it just seems meant to be.

I finished UO this morning. This game is a classic. I’d put it above Level-5’s Jeanne D’Arc. Probably one of the best in the last decade.

so I skipped the island quest because I didn’t know how to get there. What I assume was that was where I was suppose to take the rings? I got the bad ending, which was shocking. I haven’t looked up anything on this game and I didn’t want to. I assumed those websites would spoil the best part of this game.

I would like to know what I didn’t do to get a better ending. I had like 3 save files and 1 of them is before the Unicorn Overlord quest. Yeah, what I got was such a depressing ending. I also had the bad ending in Tactics Ogre Rebirth.

I've had this game since near launch, but finally started playing it, and I'm hooked! I am still learning how to do things, but damn is it a fun game.

The artwork is amazing as well. It's also a really great game to play on a handheld, I'm playing via the PS Portal, and am tempted to buy the Switch version just so it gets another sale.

Is there any advantage to executing people instead of letting them in to your army? Just seems to be a douche-y thing to do and they all come in at high level with good stats.

Yesterday I was finally free to spend some quality time and dropped 6hrs into Drakenhold. A lot of good large-scale battles there. I unlocked the Colosseum and spent some time moving up the rankings. Then played through the point where you can upgrade you fighters. Playing on Expert is the way to go as it's the only difficulty that forces you to strategize and adapt. Getting wiped out a couple times, but then developing tactics to achieve victory is really the best feeling. Tactical just doesn't push you. You can just blast through using strong squads as opposed to specialized squads and strategy.

Nope, just personal preference.
In my playthrough I let everyone join me.
Same but I might done some kind of mistake and I wasn't able to recruit Gammel and Mandrin.

I thought if I lock Gammel up Alain would late on convince him to join us later on but I guess I should have let him go instead.

Oh, I had forgotten about him... he's the one character that I didn't let join. I just didn't trust him lol.

Somebody studied "The Tale of Aragorn and Arwen" very carefully before writing the Eltolinde marriage scene. It actually stands head and shoulders above the other ones I've watched in terms of how good it is.

I've been going down the list and watching the marriage scenes and some really stand out.

The cutest ones are of course the ones where the obvious outcome isn't actually romance from their Rapports and then they get happily surprised: GryphonFran, Celeste, Nina, Yahna, Selvie, and holy shit that Kitra one LMAO (watch this one with JP VA, the AaaaAAaaAAAAAA is amazing)

The "canon" romantic ones are pretty straightforward cause they know it was coming: Rosalinde (she just comes running in at 184 mph and it's hilarious), Melisandre, Scarlett, and then there's Virginia ("Took you long enough to slowly and painfully work out out the surprisingly obvious, just gimme the damn ring already jeez")

Ochlys stands out as being TSUNDERE AS FUCK and it's amazing LMAO

And then there's Yunifi..... "When can I start making babies? What about right now?"

I'm wondering if I need to bump up the difficulty on this game. I'm playing on normal and just about finished up with Elfhiem and the game is just not a challenge at all and I'm starting to get bored. I'm basically steam rolling every encounter.

Man, what a fucking game! Got the true ending yesterday, and today finished cleaning up the treasure maps, upgraded the remaining towns, and also completed the post-campaign mission.

I don't really bother with getting platinum or 100% of the achievements in the games I play, for but for this one I had to. Props to Vanillware for this masterpiece of a game!

Someone posted here that you must play on Expert and initially I didn’t believe them. At about 8-9hrs in I realized they were absolutely correct. Not even Tactical will give you a challenge the later you get into the game. After the initial learning phase Expert is the way to go. Fortunately it can be changed any time on the overworld map from the menu.

I loved this game so much, I was going to pick up a Switch copy for my son to play - unfortunately it seems the game is sold out everywhere.

The boy isn't getting dad's copy.

Was getting my ass kicked by the time I ran the gauntlet and got to the boss on the big finale for Drakenhold on Expert difficulty. Made a kill squad just to take them down and 3 other squads to escort them there. Utterly wrecked the boss squad in a single battle while taking almost no damage. That's my favorite part about this game: getting slaughtered, developing a new squad build and strategy, then dominating. Adapt, engage, destroy.

I don't know how the whole romance thing plays out, but I think I'm going with Eltolinde over Yahna. She's so graceful.
