Life Is Strange |OT| Rewinder Me

When I was playing the game, I felt like I was there. The combination of music, atmosphere and character was done really well.

Btw.
what happens if you don't snitch on him? Then he doesn'T have a reason to attack you in the parking lot. Or is then taking the information from the ripped photograph?

I dont know TBH cause I once snitched but the principles reply made me know that he wont do shit so I just rewinded and hid the truth xD

Well, I'd probably do it in a different way than Warren. But I guess at the end of the game there's a chance, dependent on player's choice, that he scores.
I hope I get the chance to not get drugged by him. I am seriously scared of what this dude could do to Max, if his obsession don't get fulfilled.

No, that's exactly my question.
I snitched and was attacked by Bad Dude in the parking lot for snitching. Also the principle talked with my mum who was very upset that I tried to tell shit about another pupil.

Random question though: Did anyone else dislike Chloe?

While I normally dislike try-hard edgy characters who say stuff like "hella" and "step-douche", I actually think she's pretty good so far. She's part of the reason while I enjoyed the first episode so much and that is
the old friends dynamic between Max and her. She has every right to be pissed at Max for not calling her despite being in town for a while and all of it doesn't feel shoehorned or forced.

Plus Ashly Burch is doing some great voice acting as Chloe.

Max is the most likeable and coolest protagonist I have played for quite some time. She's just so cute. You can really empathise with her and having her comment on pretty much every interactive thing in her head gives her some great character development. Seriously can't wait for March!

Wait I think I got mixed up from all that rewinding!
I got hit in the parking lot by the paranoid guy + I received a text from mom saying the principle called her and stuff

So, did we choose the same, or doesn't it really matter for that point of story at that moment?

Chloe's VA speaks too fast so far. VA is mostly great besides that. The lip-synching is embarrassing though. Cmon, it's 2015 lol

I was expecting just to view the posters and stuff as some kinda lame gimmick.... TILL SHE TALKED ABOUT THEM! Was blown away by that. Really gives her some character.

There have been many moments where I just listen to the music instead of doing the next objective. Whoever picked the music has the exact same musical tastes as me....

Chloe does questionable things even if you put aside the tough circumstances she's in such as
lying about not having the gun
or parking her truck wrong :p, so she seems like the person (so far) that I would catch up with once and we went out separate ways.

I love that the game is about change that happens when you revisit nostalgia. Change can be a system shock. In my case, that shock was bad.

She reminds me of a couple of childhood friends who I estranged from, the older we got. Some background, I'm one of those who lived in various countries because of my dad's job as a surgeon being in high demand. Born in UK (Cardiff, Wales), lived for 7 years in Blackpool, moved to Pakistan (Karachi) for 2 years, then most of school life spent in Saudi Arabia (Mecca) for 6 years, then to USA (Michigan) for 2.5 years, and then finally back to UK (Sutton, Greater London) since 2005. So, I eventually got used to losing friends and contact. After one country move too many, I didn't want to get hurt anymore so I stopped trying to make longtime friends and became more introverted. Thanks to Facebook though, I got to be in contact with those couple of childhood friends back in Saudi Arabia.

There was a childhood friend who was goody goody (short, balding Omar even at that age) and I expected him to become a nice person but the tattoos and jewellery gave it away that not only had he changed physically fashion-wise like Chloe but had totally different interests that I saw no need to catch up with him even though I'm pretty sure he's here in the UK.

Another childhood friend (tall, douchy Adil) from Saudi Arabia wasn't exactly innocent before like Chloe. He introduced smoking and porn to our group of friends back then. Didn't try smoking and never will. When we came back to the UK, he contacted me for a chance to catch up after a decade.

I didn't expect him to be this bad even though he was kind of the asshole alpha of our group of friends but you expect them to grow out of that. Nope, he went deep into drugs and promiscuous sex. Very big misogynist. Your typical badboy, I guess. Going to clubs all the time, selling drugs, cheating on all exams. I regretted that catch up and had to cut him off from Facebook. Makes me sad how I don't have any childhood friends who I want to still keep in touch with.

Thanks, Christian Divine, Jean Luc-Cano, and DONTNOD, for making those unpleasant memories come flooding back :(

Thankfully, moving from country to country makes you preconceived to focus on the forward and opening yourself up to new experiences. Sometimes, it's good to reminisce on the past just to see how far you've come from the pitfalls I could have fallen down :)

Just finished it and thought it was pretty great. Love the style.
Max is cute.

A bit short, though, even for an episodic thing, though I have to go back and get the optional pictures I didn't get.

What happens if you don't
tell on Nathan to the Principal?

Principal becomes suspicious of you pulling some shit in the washroom. Dunno what happens after that, I decided snitching was a better idea and rewound.

Also, you might want to spoiler that last bit? Though it happens pretty early in the game so maybe it doesn't matter.

A friend of mine recommended me the game but I was a bit sceptical because I had not clue about this game before he mentioned it. The game turned out to be one of the best experience I have had in a game for a while. Can't wait for episode two , I recommended everyone to at least try one episode.

Finished it a couple of hours ago. Absolutely amazing first episode. The feelings it gave me reminded me of the first episode of he walking dead and how it captivated me, only this was mechanically better. My only gripe is the lip syncing. I got over it, but it's really tucking noticeable with how well done everything else is. Beside that, I was blown away by how many things will affect future story lines. Watering a plant, opening a window, drawing a face on a tv. It's crazy and if these actual reflect in future episodes, I will be blown away. Some of the choices are really hard, too. You really don't know if you're making the right decision for almost any of them and I didn't want to, but I had to rewind and second guess myself a couple of times. This game is really fucking great. The music, presentation, story, characters, etc. it's so surprisingly good. and I can't wait for future episodes. The story kept me interested and I'm really it wrested to see how it evolves, especially with what you see at the end. Idk if it'll come to fruition and how it will effect the main story or if it all ties in, but that's part of the fun.

I can't be the only one that thinks max and Chloe might hook up, right? That would be pretty dope. Looking at the choices afterward, I'm kinda shocked to see I'm in the minority when it came to making fun of that one popular girl.

How long do we have to wait for future episodes again?

Just finished episode one, lasted about two hours (which seems pretty good for a five-part series). I'm definitely onboard at this point, no regrets about buying the full season.

Such a beautiful game too; I'd love to see some figures on what it cost, especially in comparison to something like The Walking Dead. For Telltale's sake, I hope this was a lot more expensive.

For those who checked out
David's files
, anything interesting?

It shows he's been stalking Kate. He has a ton of secret photos of her.

For sure.

he has tons of photos of that girl he was bullying, a map of the school and camera placements and surveillance footage of his house/rooms. Max says he has files on other students, but you don't see them

Yeah, it would be really embarrassing if this was cheaper than any of Telltale's games. I was gonna buy tales from the borderlands or GoT with this $5. I'm glad I bought this instead. It really puts them to shame mechanically.

. I think they're going to subvert expectations with David a bit. Yeah, he's an abusive paranoid asshole, but clearly there IS something weird going on involving the young people at the school. When you see the camera feeds he doesn't have Chloe's bedroom or the bathroom rigged so I don't think he's just some creepy perv.

I dunno
Kate totally reminds me of Zooey Deschanel so I am going to be crushed when that creeper undoubtedly brings Kate's side story to a premature end
but maybe I'm being pessimistic!

I didn't see him as a pervert anyways. He is a control freak and probably want something good for the people, in a very twisted way. Either way, he is dangerous.

Interesting, thanks for the info.

On your other point, I'm still a fan of Telltale's work for sure and Tales from the Borderlands seems pretty great so far. It's absolutely true that they need to lift their game technically though; with stuff like this on the market, I'm not sure how much longer people will stand for the current level of technical polish in Telltale's work.

I actually watched through the camera feed but it never occurred to me that certain rooms were missing.

Yeah this game is pretty good. Especially in comparision to Telltale's recent output. That's a comparision you can't help but make too. I think I'm going to play through the episode while it's still is fresh in my memory while making the opposite choices and taking the two photos I didn't catch first time around. Apparently there was
some bird I could have saved?
Way to make me feel shitty game. I tried to be throughout too!

I was actually staying long to see the creepy reveal of seeing Chloe chilling on her bed.

Go to Chloe's parents bedroom and open the window.

Is there an option to hide the notification of future impact like it is in telltale's games? Didn't find one and it would be a nice feature.

I'm getting a bit sceptical about there 6 weeks in-between episodes, I understand they want to keep the game popular for a long time but that equates to 6 months until the all the game is out which is quite a while.

Not holding my breath but hopefully they reduce the wait between episodes since no exact final release date for the other episodes has been released yet.

I don't find Jefferson to be creepy at all. Sure there are rumors that he slept with Rachel (the missing girl), but I think they're just that, petty high school rumors.

Still faster than Tell Tale games - if they can keep the pacing, of course.

I think he is hiding something sinister. He is way too liked by Max to not be evil.

Thoughts about David:
I wonder if we can get him fired. I feel that with the fact that Chloe's family has so many bills whether or not a loss of a job can cause Chloe's family to move/lose the house. I also feel that signing/not signing the petition and intervening with Katecould be important to that end (maybe?).

I missed the bird too. I didn't spend too much time playing around in my dorm room, mainly because I knew I was expected by my friend in the parking lot and I didn't want to waste too much time in case he got pissed off at me.
It's always tricky with games like this trying to ascertain whether or not things operate on timers.

It's possible there's absolutely nothing going on there, but he just seems too... I don't know, smooth? He's widely known, and he works in a position where adoring teenaged girls flock to him. We know there's a competition he really wants said girls to enter, and that the winner gets to take an out-of-town trip... with him. Lots of potential red flags, for me.

Not a problem, I didn't even notice the missing rooms thing until now either. TWDS1 was probably my game of the generation last year depending on my mood, but after playing this and being a fan of QD's stuff, they can't keep doing the same stuff they're doing. They're talented developers, good writers and know how to make a good game, but they could be and do so much more. After the popularity of their last few titles,p and all the licenses they've been getting, they should really work on overhauling their games. People will take their niche away from them.

Is there an option to hide the notification of future impact like it is in telltale's games? Didn't find one and it would be a nice feature.

I was kinda wanting the same thing until I seen just how many choices there were. I feel like it would be confusing as fuck not knowing what impacted the story and what didn't, but I can see why it appeals to people.

Might be surveillance stuff from him. Also the only character right now that seems paranoid to be recording people its him so it might be linked to him. Just a random guess.

photo collecting help, Where can I find the squirrel and bird photo spots?
Squirrel is in the Campus, close to the Girls' Dormitory. There is that dude cleaning stuff, the Squirrel is close to a tree there. The bird is on the path to the lighthouse.

Edit: Beaten

By the way, where is the broken skateboard photo spot?
