Based off the above, Ys Celceta was released 3 months ago on PSN Asia, but with the publisher listed as XSEED.

I'm happy about this because I just got a Vita as a present and after setting it up with my local PSN account I found that I could just buy Celceta for 26 bucks. So I grabbed it and installed it. Glad it could fit on the 1gig card that came with the system. *cough*

duckroll, my neko, check if Brandish is also available in your region, that's a 2015 GotY contender for me and it's from Falcom as well.

Nope. The Vita selection on the Asian PSN Store is weird as hell. There's Chinese Sora no Kiseki FC Evolution, but no Japanese one. No SC. There's Japanese Zero no Kiseki Evolution, but not Ao no Kiseki. There's Chinese and Japanese Sen no Kiseki, but there's only Chinese Sen no Kiseki II. There's Chinese and English Ys Celceta but no Japanese. Just inconsistent nonsense all round. I'll have better luck just getting physical copies of anything I want instead.

Unfortunately English Brandish doesn't have a physical release, but I guess if you want to play that game (which is really good by the way; playing it right now) the Japanese version would be fine for you.

Well, there's always the option of getting a memory card and putting my US account on it. Might be worth resubscribing to PS+ on that account since I think I have a bunch of Vita games previously claimed on the + account like Gravity Rush, Uncharted, etc. But that would require investing in a) a fucking overpriced Sony memory card wtfffff, b) US $ codes since I can't use my card on the US store.

Brandish had a fan translation on the PSP, so if nothing else you can buy the physical Japanese version, rip it and apply the patch, assuming you have a CFW'd psp. But then you can only play it on the psp or an emu of course.

Yes. The JP version have a patch that enable better draw distance and less framerate hiccups.

There's also the problem there of Sony making region switching on the Vita much more painful than it was on the PSP, since not only do you need separate memory cards for each region's content, but you also need to do a total factory reset of the Vita every time you want to switch regions. It's not a big deal for me, since most of the interesting Japanese Vita games get localized (still hoping for Bad Apple Wars) and I can use my PSP for the digital Japanese PSP games I have, but it's still annoying.

Thing is, many people that imported the JP version knew about it and asked Xseed after the US version arrived, but Tom said (even on gaf) more than once that this patch won't be release because reasons. My JP version is 1.03, but the US version is plain 1.00

Anyway, the worst graphical offenders, namely the terrible resolution and vaseline filter, continues.

You are using the Singapore store aren't you duckroll? I think I recently saw Trails in the Sky first chapter and second chapter being added to the SG PSN store. Worthwhile purchases if you are inclined.

If you are looking for upcoming Vita titles and know what you want to get, see whether you wanna drop me a PM ~~can maybe get you a slight discount if you are picking a game up at a retail outlet here~don't expect too drastic of an amount though~~
