Are there any time limits/constraints in this game? It's the one thing I can never get past in games.
The same as in Harvest Moon games. Throw items at characters and they like you more, take part in their related events, etc. You can also complete quests from the bulletin board in town to make other characters like you more.
I think you can find iron ore starting around floor 40 or so in the mine.

I really, really should not buy this game.
(I'm gonna buy this game, though.)
Nothing that makes the game stressful. You can accept requests that has to be done within two days, but it doesn't matter much if you don't succeed. You do have to plan your days a bit though because the days won't last long and you have to be in bed by 10 pm if you want to regain your energy overnight.
You really, really should buy it because it's awesome.
Found some boots in the mine. How do you use them? Is there a clothes inventory?
Rejected by all girls at the flowerdance...I wanted to tend to my parsnips anyway.
You don't need to be in bed by 10pm to get your energy. I've gotten all my energy back despite it being 1 am before. However, you do not want to be out and about at 2 am, you'll pass out, lose some money etc.
So it's not a bad idea to start heading home at 10pm if you're a distance from home. Also don't fully deplete your energy before sleeping because that'll reduce how much you regenerate. As long as it's not 0 you're fine though. And I've hit 0, ate something, and woke up fine as well;
Holy shit, there are really basic things to craft where you need iron, but seems the game wants to make you do super hard stuff 10 hours in to get basic things.
that's strange, it save every time you go to sleep, no ?
It's actually pretty easy to get there, just do 5 floors at a time. Bring some torches and some energy replenishment. Some floors are annoying but it's pretty easy still.
It might be around level 20 that you get a nice sword. Otherwise buy the wooden one from the adventurers guild, I think it's 500g for something that does 3-7 damage.
The rusted one takes forever to kill things with.

Hahaha, same here. The problem is that I had an object for a sidequest that finished that day for the wizard, and the game doesnt let you go to the tower during all the day dance.
Thanks for breaking my dancing dreams and sidequests game
I'm somewhat fine with it. I'm not feeling any of the potential suitors as is. Caroline stays winning, but unfortunately isn't a potential partner. Either way I've been spending most of my time down in the mines. It's great for money, but as a result I'm likely an urban myth to the town.
Character movement and fishing are my only complaints with this game.Just played it for an hour or so, super cute. My only complaint so far is the sloooow running speed, especially diagonally for some reason. Should be twice as fast.
I mostly fish, myself. I'm assuming the mines start to pay off after a while, but when faced with the choice of making thousands a day fishing or pushing past floor 20 in the mines... Hell, I feel like I find more cool minerals from fishing too, with all the geodes/magma geodes I get from chests lol. I'll do more spelunking at some point, though.
Question myself:
Does anybody know how long it takes crops that are regrowable? I'm into my first Summer and I want to decide which are the most profitable crops amongst the renewables. The wiki only says 'continues to produce.'
You have any tips? I'm using a controller and it almost feels impossible. I can almost never keep the bar on the fish.
It almost doesn't seem worth it to grow crops that don't continuously produce. I had 24 beans all through the Spring and got tons of cash with no extra investment. It's much better than having to buy seeds after every harvest.I've been growing some peppers and it seems it's about every 3 days for them. Not far enough into summer for the others to kick in.
Thanks. Guess I just need to keep at it until I level more.I play with mouse and keyboard, but since the fishing minigame is just one button I'd assume it's not much more difficult. The biggest things, I feel, are learning how the fish tend to behave and getting the rhythm down.
Each individual type of fish will behave differently. The cheap fish often basically stay in one place, better ones can be absolutely crazy, though there aren't many of those in spring.
Get the rhythm down for holding the bar in one place, clicking and releasing. After that, it's just a matter of getting a feel of how long to hold/let go to actually move the bar up and down. Your bar will also become larger as you improve and get better rods, making it easier so long as you aren't dealing with super crazy fish. The summer ocean was a big shock after how laid back most of the spring fish behaved lol.
I've hit 5k earned in one day from fishing in the lake in spring before, from just the fish. I'd also gotten a couple emeralds, 6-8 magma geodes and some other goodies from chests that haul haha.

Now, about Joja Corporation… I’ve decided not to impose a time limit on players. Here’s my new Joja concept:
JojaMart already exists when you arrive in town. In fact, Joja’s presence is the reason the community center has fallen into disrepair, and why the local mom and pop businesses are suffering. Some townspeople long for the old days, when local businesses were thriving and the town had a strong sense of unity. Others welcome the convenience and affordability of the JojaMart.
The player can proceed in multiple ways:
1. Do nothing. Joja mart will stay in business, and the community center will stay dilapidated and unusable.
2. Restore the community center by completing bundles. Make positive changes to the game world along the way. When this is complete, the local JojaMart will go out of business, and the community center will be restored to its former glory.
3. Ignore the community center and instead help expand JojaMart by spending money. Joja Co. will make positive changes to the game world for a fee. The community center will be demolished forever. The player will receive discounts on Joja products.
This allows players to proceed at their own pace and choose a pathway that suits their own gameplay style and philosophical preference. For players who want more of a challenge, there may be achievements and/or rewards for completing these paths within a set time limit.

Do you get different types of fish depending on the weather/time of day? I wanted to try fishing on a rainy day, but It hasn't rained for me since the 3rd day.
That said, mining is great. I'm 50 floors down and am getting gold/iron ores a'plenty as well as weapons and armor. The fruit some enemies drop are great for maintaining energy while down there and the resources are useful for upgrades you'll eventually need.
Does this game have a set time limit & an 'ending'? Like does it end in 3 years and you get get a cutscene ending w/ an option to continue indefinitely like some of the old Harvest moon games? Does anyone know?
There is a shrine on your farm that has a note from your grandfather. It says something like:Does this game have a set time limit & an 'ending'? Like does it end in 3 years and you get get a cutscene ending w/ an option to continue indefinitely like some of the old Harvest moon games? Does anyone know?
Game really nails that harvest moon feel, but they do need the slowdown time intervela by at least five seconds as it does move to fast.
I just got lucky and dropped a club that does nice damage.
Screw this fish, it just zips up and down the entirety of the reel bar, making it impossible to catch. Must be some special fish since the icon is slightly different.
Someone on SA did some modified exe's, with slowed down time & increased run speed. I didn't try them myself so usual caveats apply, and then some:

The more I play the more Im in awe of how many small details there are, from the seasonal graphic changes to the gameplay
Halfway through Fall and finally have a barn. Making ~800g a night.
4-5 mayo machines, a presever, a decent field of crops (20-30ish)
I once had an earthquake but nothing really happened. Would love challenges that just f my stuff up a bit.
I dont ever want to feel too rich

How does bait work exactly? Do I need a higher level fishing rod than the first one you get?

There is a tombstone with the following:
Does anyone have any idea what does it mean?
