IT'S HAPPENING

The Angel Clock 1

Still dont think there has been a bad series from Zero Sum...maybe if this gets tons of chapters it can even get an anime, as an anime for a series involving time travel and infinite lives happenings is actually pretty compelling. I think moving the antagonist to chp two could have worked better for the sake of suspense but it was still achieved by that which transpired in the closing paths. What I like most was the close friendship, then denial of it, then going back to it revealing that he still truly does want to be friends with Gin, so it made it pretty entertaining and kind of touching to be his motivation for living.

Is that pretty low for Naruto? I know it tends to break the million mark for each volume within a month or two after the release date.

Jigokuren 18 (end)

It was a fun little story that had a nice setup for a gag manga but fell short in the end because the ending was rushed. It also doesn't help that it was kind of predictable and to reliant on nudity.

Solid C comedy.

Wow how did Cross Manage chart but World Trigger v1 didnt. Oh well, I can only hope World Trigger makes a huge resurgence once the other volumes come down and it builds in popularity that way. Maybe it can get to Saiki Kusuo no Sainan level...

And my favorite yaoi manga too... Mousou Electal and Hakkenden.

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
AssClass is still killing it.
I think it's time to accept that Soma and AssClass have now taken Naruto and Bleach's places.

That was pretty much how I felt at that point. It doesn't really explain much of anything.

Jaco the Galactic Patrolman 1

Better than I thought it would be but not the greatest thing ever. If it's a comedy I didn't laugh much. With only 10 chapters I might as well read it.

Komomo Confiserie 1-2
New series about a a spoiled tsundere princess and her patisserie servant and how after ten years, there is a role reversal where he becomes her sadistic boss and she's his useless hired hand. Really like the premise of Natsu (the boy) being a "know your place" devil type of character instead of being secretly in love with her (although this is shoujo so it's bound to go that route) and that after Komomo learns Natsu's true colors, she wants to one up him in the most humiliating way possible.

Jigokuren: Love in Hell end

This had the potential to be something super special, but it ended way too soon :(

Still, it was fun while it lasted. First "slice of after-life" series I've read. Gotta keep an eye on that sub-genre.

I think it's time to accept that Soma and AssClass have now taken Naruto and Bleach's places.

In my opinion, Assassination Classroom does not have the flexibility of the Naruto/Bleach's universe for its plot/story to go anywhere far outside its main premise. Hell, I think it's much more suffocating than Bleach in that regards, and I think Bleach's universe is pretty limiting as it is.

So while the sales are good right now, I highly doubt Assassination Classroom will have the same longevity as the likes of Naruto or Bleach.

I went from "What the hell is Aunt's Tits?" to reading every released chapter last night.

I want to read this but I dislike the art style.

Actually, I can think of plenty of ways for Assassination Classroom to expand beyond the titular room.
We've established Korosensei was once human, and we know his "brother" also has tentacles. It's very likely there's more things like them out there. It could easily expand into a battle manga where Class E fights the other tentacle monster things. All using the skills they're best at.

Well, whatever the possibility is gonna be, I sincerely hope that the author gets on it rather quickly because, amusing Koro-Sensei shenanigans aside, the story so far is so formulaic it hurts.

But I guess he won't be bothered to do anything and keep churning out the samey stuff every chapter so long as the sales are good.

Hmm I thought this was after the first week has passed. My mistake, though with the current chapters I wouldn't be surprised to see a drop in sales. :b
Don't hold your breath. Naruto has been shit for a long time now (overall, the war has been horrid and has gone on far too long) and it's still sellin gangbusters.

People want it to become a battle manga? I think it would lose its edge and appeal..unless thats what the final arc would end up being tournament style or something in the 200's when the manga will wrap.

Dont really understand the longevity thing people mention, isnt the manga first and foremost constrained by the one year time limit, unless he would really just throw that plot point out the door for some strange reason...

Girls of the Wild
Regarding Death

Dr. Frost and Kiss Wood.

They're pretty different from tower of god though. :p

For something similar probably noblesse.

Girls of the Wild's.

Thanks.

I know about Noblesse, but reading it for a bit I am honestly put off by the "very handsome/intelligent/perfect main character" trope it purports. Unless I am remembering a different story. I just can't stand this trope personally (one of the reasons I absolutely abhor Prince of Tennis)

Well, that's another reason why IMO calling Assassination Classroom the next Naruto/Bleach is a bit silly. The setup itself just don't make it possible to stretch the whole plot to the extent of Naruto/Bleach's universe allow each of them to do so, respectively.

Which is why now the story basically goes nowhere in Assassination Classroom and the plot is nothing more than just reused material chapter per chapter.

Yup, that's noblesse, though the main character can be a little goofy, which might make things bad or worse for you.

If you want to read something that doesn't support that trope then definitely read kiss wood.

I'll just leave the plot summary here:
Youichi is a very serious, stoic young man with a girlfriend and a regular sex life. However, he has never experienced sexual self-gratification.

Recently, he's become aware of a book called "Masturbation" at the library he works at -- an educated discourse into the history of the sin of Onan and related practices. Finding himself increasingly intrigued by the concepts within, he begins to conduct a series of experiments... Join him as he embarks into a whole new world!

It's too bad more chapters aren't getting translated. :[

But I gotta say this is very interesting.
