Superhero games you would like to see?

Free roaming Iron Man game, with the possibility of building/customizing armors in a manner similar to Armored Core.

Spider-Man game with SM2 swinging.

Worm. I have no idea how such unique powers would translate into the game, particularly the main character Taylor whos bug telepathy probably couldn't be made into game mechanics, but maybe making the player take an OC archvillain or working with the Protectorate that way the player could still interact with/fight the many awesome characters whos powers would no doubt make fucking awesome boss encounters.

Alas I don't think this property will ever get the popularity it deserves. But if people want to read a story with unique powers being intelligently used, you should read Worm and make my dream of a Worm game come true.

Fighting games. Lots of them.
I really hope MvC4 doesn't have simplified controls, the way some of those moves were changed were disappointing.

West Coast Avengers
GI Joe vs Oktober Guard (an 80's period piece) or Transformers
The Secret Wars (all Marvel characters good vs bad)

Green Lantern. Wonderful 101's unite morphs remind me of GL, so a good game is definitely feasible.

Heroes? How about a game where we control teams of villains?

I'll be waiting for my check in the mail, WB/DC!

Why not a Wonder Woman game? There's not many video games that I'm aware of based on female super heroes. The Halle Berry Catwoman game is the only one I can think of right now.

A Deadpool and Taskmaster game in DMC style. Deadpool would have something more akin to the gunslinger style moves with lots of aerial tricks while Taskmaster would be more direct/grounded with lots of moves from various heroes that would give him a bit of a 'western' brawler kinda feel, with less airdash/trick jump cancels and more of the 'zip to opponent or drag opponent to me' that you find in DmC.

It should have lots and lots and lots of banter.

A Luke Cage and Power Man brawler. Not quite sure what the style would be- lots of variation possible. My brain goes to something like MK: Shaolin Monks, but that's kinda generic and vague, yeah? It wouldn't be a unique and cool experience that's super memorable, I think. But there should be a -ton- of mooks to just mow through in this game, and both characters should always be on screen together or at least in the playable area. Maybe some in the line of the old Berserk PS2 game, where there was a lockon moveset and a 'wide area' moveset that were both accessible at all times. That way you can variate between giant mobs and those 1v1/2v2 kung fu/street fight duels.

Also, Marvel Vs. Capcom 4. or another expansion to 3- I just want hope for that game and it's engine haha.

The Phantom

Third person action adventure in the vein of Assassins Creed set across multiple incarnations of the phantom throughout out history.

You probably already know this, but there was a Phantom 2040 game for the Genesis/SNES that was actually pretty good (obviously it didn't play like AC since it was a 2D action game, and it only focused on the 24th phantom. It played kind of like Metroid but with branching paths. I remember liking it at the time).

Maybe I'm insane (I probably am) but I'd love to see an open world superhero game where you're a superhero with no super powers, preferably one you create yourself. I'm thinking in the vein of Kick Ass, Super or Watchmen (minus Dr Manhattan). It would involve you getting the shit kicked out of you a lot probably.

Well you don't create the character yourself, but isn't that somewhat similar to batman arkham city?

Superman Returns had decent flying mechanics but the game itself was trash. Maybe this gen we'll get something good. I hope. It's a shame my favorite is the one with the worst game history.

Same here.

Returns had a big city, great powers, great flight, and a cool hook (city health), but the missions were half baked.

Spiderman game using the good parts from Spiderman 2.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3

Justice League Heroes 2

Banaman (I'm serious)

I guess he doesn't count as super powered but a free roaming Judge Dredd game exploring Mega City 1 would be amazing.

I'm not really into superhero games apart from the Batman Arkham ones. But i could be interested in a supervillain game where you play as Dr.Doom and try to take over the world or something.

I really don't see why people like the swinging from Spider-Man 2. Went back to replay that on the Gamecube just felt stiff compared to the rest of the later installments. I personally liked Web Of Shadows swinging since you could just pick up speed fast and most of the time it attached to the buildings. Unless if you were in the park.

I would love to see another Marvel Ultimate Alliance though, sure the second one wasn't as great. But if it could be more akin to the first one or Xmen Legends that would be awesome.

1. A Supervillain Action-Drama game which connects you emotionally to the protagonist (or should I say antagonist?), because it seems very reasonable what he does, but at the same time you're disgusted by your/his actions. Somehow like Light (キラ) in Deathnote.
2. A new Viewtiful Joe.
3. Marvel Line-Up with 'Rocksteady Arkham City' Gameplay and Online Co-Op.

Give me a superhero RPG! A Marvel RPG to be exact.

That would be awesome but I'd want a Disney vs Time Warner game as well. Mickey Mouse vs Bugs Bunny would be awesome.

Anyway I think a Captain Marvel (Fawcett version) game would be good if it was done in the old 1940's style. Have completely wacky worlds to visit.

Also a Top Ten or a Powers game would be pretty cool.

As for comic book characters, give me a Hellblazer game. Telltale would do an interesting take, but an old school point n click would be marvellous.

I'd like a Hitman-esque game taking on Superhero types, don't need to licensed but just let me sneakily take down a hyper powered idiot. Maybe The Boys is the right license for that.

Also, the Punisher game from a few years ago was pretty good if a bit torture porn.

Ever since I saw Borderlands, I thought I'd love to see a Tank Girl game.

No idea of who'd develop it, though.

I really want to see a Batman game based on the comics. I want to see a game where the characters look like they do in the comics and the story is not just an excuse to throw in every Batman villain they can think of. I don't get why WB has to reinvent the wheel every time or why they act like Arkham is the name people care about. Dump the gritty redesigns and the Arkham name.

I want to see a Justice League game. Put all the heroes in it and try a bunch of stuff out. If the fans really like a character in it, give them their own game.

I think a KOTOR style X-Men RPG that focused on the human/mutant relations could be really interesting. I doubt anyone would ever make game that deals with issues that so closely resemble real world racial issues, though.

A Spider-Man game that's worth a damn would also be cool.

She's not a comic book character, but most of the important characters in Gravity Rush are female, including the protagonist.

I've been watching Arrow like crazy recently on Netflix, so... Green Arrow?

Serious answer. Whatever the super hero game, I just want to be able to properly use the powers. If I'm Nightcrawler, don't make walls I can't teleport through. If I'm Superman, don't make walls I can't break. In other words, I'd like any game that takes a character seriously and really lets me be the character (as opposed to a generic brawler game that uses a character for a licensed skin).

A Planet Hulk game.

A proper open world superman with lots of destruction (make it a global invasion scenario so he doesn't have to worry too much about causing civilian deaths).

It's way beyond time for a halfway decent Superman game. Actually that Death of Superman SNES game wasn't too bad.

New Punisher
New Blade to help me forget about that PS1 abortion of a game

I'd like to see an X-Men game which lets you go through the origin stories of a few members other than Wolverine (Storm, Cyclops, Magneto, Gambit, Rogue, Professor X, Jean Grey for example).

It's a goddamn crime that a mediocre Heroes for Hire beat-em-up hasn't been made.

Maybe if the Netflix series takes off we'll get something!

A Deathstroke game from his antagonistic point of view. Fighting iconic DC characters like Batman and Green Arrow. Also, it'd be great if they could get Manu Bennett from Arrow to voice him.
