Matt: Any plans for a Death Tank Drei hidden in any of your games?
Ezra: [/b]No. I would like to make a stand-alone DT game someday though.
sadly that video blows. 7 player DTZ on Saturn was freaking awesome!natjjohn said:The youtube video makes it look like a ghetto version of tank wars. :lol
Closer to real-time Worms/Scorched Earth. Yeah, there have been competitive trajectory-based shooting games on computers forever (Dueling Castles, Trajerwrecktory, etc.) but there are no turns here with a 'last man standing' style of play and you earn credits depending on your kills (especially multis and the awesome groovy kill) and pick ups from drops/downed planes. You then buy new weapons (nukes, MIRVs, rolling mines that are subject to simple physics and terrain curvature) and special items (hover, shield, carbomite that explodes from you once you've died and can take out others and you get credit for these kills, too). You play for a set number of rounds and there are blitz rounds where things go crazy offensive. You can also alter the landscape with shots...with nukes taking out entire mountains. And the cursed/blessed item that mixes it up, too.Bearillusion said:I remember playing a game on the schools BBC computers back in about 1984 that looks the same as this. I thought it was crap. Isn't this Worms without the worms and different weapons?
