Please be true. I want to play this but don't want to shell out for a proper PS1 copy.

On ebay and amazon the cheapest used copies go for something like $200.
How are they getting around the VA issues?
Still, never played this, so in.
Wait...for PSP? I thought they discontinued store support from the PSP, or was that something else?
OT:why doesn't ps4 have ps1 emulation at the minimum? Every sony console or handheld has had it. Just doesn't seem right.

does it hurt resell value a ton?
Can someone explain what the voice actor issue is that you're talking about?
I haven't played Misadventures in some time, so I can't pinpoint any specific examples of copyrighted music. However, the Japanese version of the game does feature two vocalized pieces, "Love Letter" and "Magic", sung by Mayumi Iizuka, Tron's voice actress. Not that that has any relevance to the English version, but contract issues with her songs could explain the game's absence on the Japanese PSN.

For example, there are games in our catalogue that have logos or other things that would be identifiable as other peoples I.P. without permission, and either due to historical litigation or fear of potential future litigation, sometimes we arent allowed to use those.
Other things, like for example you had voicework in the game, but the voice actor Within the scope of the contract that was there, either the contract is lapsed in terms of its term or the contract never defined that digital distribution was an allowable use for their work etcetera. So voice acting, scores, soundtracks, middleware contracts all have to have the same stuff there.
In some cases, the company that we did things with is gone, but that doesnt mean that somebody doesnt own the rights and couldnt come after us, so in the name of having to protect ourselves, sometimes these things are not going to be able to be put up again, and in the case of the emulations, we cant make changes to the content, so theres no way to just sort of remove it and just have it be up there.
The net result is, in the case of Legends, unfortunately Legends isnt going to be able to be up there; it failed an I.P. sweep and a contract check.
That was only in Europe and PAL. And even then you could still access the store via a PS3 or a computer with mediaGO installed.Wait...for PSP? I thought they discontinued store support from the PSP, or was that something else?

I think it has to do with the music in the JP version?
Well it took 2 years but we finally got sui 2 and gradius 5Is this real life...? I've been lied to before by these rating leaks. I won't be hurt again.
All I'm aware of is that the VA for tronne's dad is a canadian actor that was arrested for child pornography. I don't know if that had any bearing on re-releases of the game.

He was dropped by the agency representing him. I don't know if that's playing a role in re-licencing his voiceover work.
I have a copy of this game, but resale or not, I hope its' getting a psn release. Anything that gets Megaman legends more exposure is a good thing.
Damn that sucks but I guess you can't except a company to cover such thing in a contract for technology that didn't even really exist almost 20 years ago.Suikoden II still goes for over $100. But as mentioned, incomplete copies took a hit.
"Capcom USA VP, Christian Svensson confirmed that the original Mega Man Legends will not be made available on Sonys PlayStation Network due to property infringement issues. His quote regarding the situation was as follows":
I ask LegendsGAF how does the late N64 port of MML1 stack up to the PS1 original? Is it worse, better or the same?
Wait. MML1 ain't Dualshock compatible? Most people would say worse. I'd say marginally better. I prefer being able to use the analogue stick even if it isn't true analogue control. I also prefer the way the game looks on the N64 generally though the sound quality took a hit.
I'd love to give this a try. But I'm pretty sure this will only come to the US store and not the UK store.....
Being PS1 game, I assume there is no dual audio, is there much dialogue in the game?
Checked few videos and it does look very interesting, never played this before.
Worse. I believe they edited out some stuff to fit the cartridge. Also the n64 controller is garbage.Megaman fan here but a Legends virgin. I hope they release the PS1 games of the series on PSN soon.

IMO the PS1 controller before dualshock was just as good as the N64 controller. Of course once the Dualshock and supported games came out it was no longer a competition.Worse. I believe they edited out some stuff to fit the cartridge. Also the n64 controller is garbage.
