I've actually got post-processing down to medium and it doesn't seem to help.
Okay, I beat the game and unfortunately it never got much better performance wise. That is except for the very last area which was completely back to 60 again. Hopefully they can release a fix for this down the line. There is an entire boss battle that I had to fight through at around 20 fps.
Anyone had any luck getting DSR working yet? Bit of a pain
Same here. Had to lower the resolution down to 1080p to get a rock solid 60fps with max effects.1440p runs like crap on my 1070.

Sounds like the exact problem I'm having. It also started in that area for me and the bad news is that I've progressed a good deal (I'm now in a completely different area) and it hasn't gotten better. In fact, I now have to do a boss fight with the framerate hovering around 20 FPS which isn't ideal to say the least. Maybe it's only an issue for people with AMD cards (I have an R9 Fury) as I haven't heard anyone but you and me report this problem. At first I thought it might be the water shader since that seems to be using tesselation and AMD cards can have a bit of a tough time handling that but since I'm now in a completely different area with no big water surfaces, that can't be it.
I haven't tried it yet, but the game scales to any window resolution. So at the very least, you could set your desktop res to whatever DSR resolution you want to play at, and then play the game in borderless windowed.
game really needs to be played at higher than native resolutions, IQ is too soft otherwise
Running a full AMD system myself and not had any problems with the first hour of gameplay apart from the odd micro stutter, will see how it goes as I progress.
Did a vid showing I'm gpu bound if anything.

Tried my pc version on a 4k hdr tv and nothing popped up to show it was hdr.Guys if you look at the gameusersettings ini it has a line mentioning HDR output does this support HDR?

Yeah, the problems didn't start until I reached a specific area a couple of hours into the game (and it looks like it was the same for tesqui). Will definitely be interesting to see whether it'll be the same for you.

Can I expect 60fps at 1080p, or would I be better off going with PS4 Pro?

Rock Solid 60fps in fullscreen at 3440x1440. However disgusting stuttering in Borderless or Windowed. Like unplayable.
Turned down post processing to dull the CA because it's awful.

It's theareabeach.but not the one from the beginning, the one you get to after defeating the first two bosses
I just got to the boss after the illusion gates and struggling to beat it(I suck at sword games)
Up to now 40-50fps constant but it sounds like the drops come later in the game.
Does anybody experience random crashes?
Game just stops and quits itself. Or a blue screen following a restart of the pc?

//EDIT: just happened again. Game just closes. Never the same spot.
Neither the cpu nor the gpu is too hot.
CPU maximum 70°C per Core and the GPU is at an maximum of 75°C.
4k + very high, full screen on gtx1080 stock and i770k stock
doesnt drop under 40fps, doesnt go over, supper happy with that.
Just played a bit more, definitely something off about this game. I'm enjoying it, but I also feel a bit rough after a session. Bit of a headache and my eyes feel more strained than they should. Strange.
I'm getting crashes/hangs. Though those seem directly related to the GPU (getting a crash message)
I was getting that on my overclocked 1080 (which seemed stable for all other games). So I fixed it by putting back the stock clocks.
I just realized there was a specific PC thread so I'll cross post my post from the OT.
I want to hold off on the PS4 version in hopes that Limited Run Games gets the chance to make a physical version, so I figured maybe I'll pick this up on PC. I use a late 2012 iMac on Bootcamp. It's a 3.2 i5 and a Nvidia GTX 680MX. Think that will be able to run it ok? the game looks technically impressive so it is giving me pause.
I'd go with the PS4 version. 2GB VRAM would be too limiting.
PS4 has 8GB GDDR5.
Should I get this game on my base PS4 or my i7 2600 3.4Ghz/ 960 4GB / 16GB DDR3 desktop?
I don't think either of these options is ideal but if I had to choose, which version would play better?
Running a 6700k at 4.6Ghz and 1080ti and unfortunetly 4k60 isn't a thing at max settings. Even lowering setting like view distance doesn't help much.
I find I have good results running the game at 1800p (scaling issues at this resolution are barely noticable) and all settings at max, except post processing on medium because fuck that CA. Pretty much locked 60, very occasional dips but very minor. Pleased with these settings.
One step lower than 4k is 1600p for me. How do you add 1800p?
Yeah, I had the same crash. Same thing with an overclocked GPU that's been fine for most other games. I actually had the same thing happen with Mass Effect Andromeda.
I have.Anyone had any luck getting DSR working yet? Bit of a pain
PS4 is 30fps 1080p and has trophies.
PC for you approx 40-50fps high settings.
Buy on Steam, try it and refund if not happy or go the Gog route like I did knowing it will look better on pc.
So still no solution for DSR working - is NT even aware of the problem? Setting the resolution before before playing is just tedious.
I also tried the FOV fix on pcgamingwikia - and its slightly better but because of the fish eye effect - it isn't as nice as it should be. You can tell the game wasn't designed at that FOV at all. The animation of Senua and the camera movement just feels janky.
I think I want to buy this.
I have,

What settings for locked 60?
