GAF Photography Assignment Thread 116: Corridors

Status
Not open for further replies.
Theme: Corridors

Submissions are due by Monday, July 25th at 11:59 PM EDT.

Voting begins Tuesday July 26th at 12:00 AM EDT and ends Wednesday July 27th at 11:59 PM EDT.

1) The theme can be interpreted as you see fit, but keep in mind others will be judging based on whatever criteria they see fit.

2) Only one photo per person, per assignment.
-- Photos must be taken during the assignment period.
-- Only photos to be posted in this thread are to be submissions.
-- You can change your submission by editing your post.
-- To avoid cluttering up the thread, please avoid quoting images.
-- Photos should be no larger than 800 pixels on the long edge.

3) One vote for your first choice (3 points) and one vote for your runner-up (1 point), which can be based on any criteria you see fit. You cannot vote for your own submission. Non-participants are also welcome to vote. Criticism/comments encouraged.

4) The "winner" should come up with a new theme/time period. Ties are broken first by the number of first choice votes, then by longest time since last win/thread start, then by longest amount of time participating in assignment threads.

5) Have fun!

Awesome. Everyone whom participates please subscribe this time so we dont have a weak showing.

Great job last time, Im happy I got 2nd my firt photo assignment I participated in. I plan to bring it this time.

Also it would be amazing if when voting begins a mid could change the title.

Now to find some corridors!

Congrats on your win dude!

This theme is one of those that are easy enough to get a shot for. Corridors are everywhere..how to make it interesting is a challenge however.

That's a great shot, and it's even more impressive knowing what it was taken with. Is that a location you can easily go back to? I'd love to see what you could do with a good camera there.

Sadly it's not a location I can bring my camera to and even if I could it wouldn't be easy to recreate the same conditions. Really sucks when you see a one-chance photo opportunity and all you have on you is your phone. Still that shot turned out better than I thought it would. I really tried my best to hold the phone as steady as humanly possible, and some lightroom work manage to hide the flaws of the 3GS cam a bit. Feel like I gotta upgrade though, I'll probably get the iPhone 5 when it's released so I atleast have a passable camera on me all the time.

That really is an impressive shot. I love the reflection on the water. Almost looks like it's reflecting a different view. (at least I think that is water and a reflection. the photo is kind of trippy)

Yeah that's a puddle of water reflecting the sky. I really like your shot too btw, great textures and detail, so sharp.

I had an idea for this, but looks like I won't be able to make it, good submissions so far though so is not like I would compete for top entry lol

Doubt I'll be able to get a photo done now sadly due to how late it is here.

Oh well, next time!

This. Been packing too much lately. Never had enough of an opportunity, and it's been too damn hot to go outside this last week.

Cast your votes. I'll begin...

1st Place: Gabyskra
Runner Up: Pringles

To everyone: Should we extend the voting by 24 hours since I'm putting these up late?

Sure, why not. The voting duration often feels a bit short imo, so extending it a little is a good idea regardless.

1. theusedversion - awesome textures on the wall and good feel with the darkness leading to light.
