I used FireFox for a long time, but it started crashing all the time. I downloaded Chrome...and it doesn't crash, so I use that. Well, maybe every now and then. But not often. It's definitely my favorite browser.
Does Chrome auto-save tabs when you close it? IE doesn't and Firefox didn't the last time I tried it. It should be a standard feature on all browsers.
I get kind of astounded whenever I see commercials for IE9 on television. Seeing Microsoft have to advertise their own browser is a little bizarre.
I'm still glad to see increased competition among browsers even if I don't personally use Chrome. It's sleek and fast, but my browsing experience is so narrowly customized by Firefox addons for which no Chrome equivalents exist that I just can't switch. I'm still on Firefox 4.0 because of these add-on compatibility issues and it took months of increasingly-bad memory leaks just to get me to finally upgrade from 3.6. I sometimes regret always being so far behind in the world of browser tech.
You are the new IE6 user, I'm sorry to say.
No, you shouldn't feel sorry for saying that. Those people are ridiculous.
FF4 was released almost a year ago ffs. If some add-ons doesn't work with newer version of the browser go and complain to the author of the add-on or look for a replacement. Even more ridiculous are people who are still holding to FF 3.6 - a browser released in january 2010. :/
FavBrowser.com said:After reaching the 50% market share mark, Internet Explorer reverted some of its gains and is back to 49.87%, 0.13 point decrease.
Only few more points remain as Google Chrome slowly climbs towards the 20% mark, up from 17.41% to 18.05%, 0.64 point increase.
Firefoxs market share is about to fall below Chromes, down from 18.65% to 18.16%, 0.49 point decrease.
It looks like Safari has also joined a group of losers this time, down from 9.17% to 9.05%, 0.12 point decrease.
Operas market share decreased from 1.63% to 1.57% as HitsLink has since then dropped Opera and replaced it with the Android in the top browsers report.
Thats all for now, folks.
You can try Dragon, maybe. It's based on Chromium but is branded by Comodo.I'd prefer not to use a Google product, but Chrome is by far the best browser out there, sooooo
More secure than FF. You really can't hack Chrome becuase google pay significant bounty for potential security holes and patch them immediatedly.

Well, Chrome is still on top, judging by the latest figures from traffic measurement service provider StatCounter, and it has now even taken more than one third of the browser market worldwide (see graphs below and at the bottom).
For July 2012, StatCounter pegged Chromes global market share at 33.8 percent, up from 32.8 percent in June and from 22.1 percent in July 2011.
According to StatCounters data, IE remains strong with a 32 percent share, while Firefox is steadily losing ground and currently hovering around 23.7 percent. Apples Safari browser comes in fourth with a 7.1 percent worldwide market share.

In addition to grabbing 1/3 of the global browser market, Google Chrome has also apparently become king of the hill in Europe last month, surpassing Firefox for the first time. Chrome is by far the most used browser in South America and Asia, although Internet Explorer still reigns supreme in the US, the UK and Australia.
For your background: Google Chrome was launched almost exactly 4 years ago.
StatCounters data has been openly questioned before, but its service is widely used as a standard for measuring browser usage. As long as you realize that these type of stats are simply never 100 percent accurate, StatCounters findings are usually indicative of clear trends.
FWIW: StatCounters figures are based on data from over 15 billion page views (and notably, not unique visitors which is what rivals like Net Applications measure) from over 3 million sites that run the companys stats package.

I use firefox as my main browser.
chromium when i want find porn.
It's ugly as hell. Can someone explain to me what the hell is happening to Opera. The browser is great, fast, reliable and had lots of features that are nowadays considered standard way before FF and Chrome. And yet it's constantly at the bottom of the graph. Is there a particular reason for this?
I'm in the top 1% with Opera. Yeah, baby.
Opera user here, fight the powah.
Why, specifically? After using chrome for a bit, I'm thinking of switching back to opera honestly :
On every single computer I've ever tried it on, Chrome is noticeably faster then IE, FF, and Opera.
I don't understand why anyone wouldn't use it...
Firefox in steep decline while IE stays stagnant? Fuck this shit!
Side note: at the moment there's not one browser I'm happy with. Both FF and Chrome are annoying me with unexpected behavior and sluggishness, so I'm switching back and forth, even using Opera every once in a while. Quite annoying. Hopefully the next FF version works alright again. I hate being homeless, browser-wise.

I tried chrome for a bit. Just found firefox easier and faster to use. plus more customisiation.
which is odd since im a google fanboy.
I use chrome solely as my porn browser.
I stopped using Firefox once it started crashing on me every 5 damn minutes.
Now I use Chrome.
Also, does anyone think that the AWFUL Internet Explorer ads have anything to do with this? I cannot STAND those commercials.
