Poor HTC.... No but seriously Ill check out the live Blog, I think they are going to show their WP8 devices today, so this should be pretty interesting, hopefully.

"We have more experience with WIndows Phone than anyone. We have sold more Windows Phone than anyone. We know Windows Phone."

Wow, so the Lumia9 never closed that gap I guess.

If they announce a new flagship phone I will cry cus I'm stuck with One X for like a year and a half.

"We have more experience with WIndows Phone than anyone. We have sold more Windows Phone than anyone. We know Windows Phone."

Woah interesting if that's true...

"HTC is unveiling its flagship Windows Phone 8 handset today, the Windows Phone 8X. The branding might sound Microsoft-like, but there's a good reason for that — the two companies have joined forces on a marketing campaign that will make HTC the face of Windows Phone 8."

Woah what a stab in the back to Nokia. The phones even look somewhat like the flagship Lumias, though worse.

Sounds like they're abandoning Android.

No chance. Funny if they did though, given HTC is Samsung's last credible global competitor as an Android OEM. If HTC really did abandon ship it'd become untenable for Google to continue to control Android like it does, given it'd be little more than a Samsung OS at that point.

I love that the prevailing design language for Windows Phone devices originates from nothing less than the Maemo-running N9.

Sounds like they're abandoning Android.

I very literally just read a quote from HTC stating the exact opposite. Not sure where you got that idea. They outlined pretty clearly that Android and WP8 are the companies future.

HTC remains committed to Android and Windows Phone, with CEO Peter Chou commenting that "Windows Phone has clearly emerged as one of the top mobile ecosystems and is competitive against any other smartphone platform in the world." Likewise, Wheeler feels that things have moved along since the original Windows Mobile devices. "You almost had to take the sales assistant's word that it was a Windows device because they didn't look anything like Windows, whereas the advantage is now obviously with Windows 8 and Xbox looking very similar, you have a consistent feel."

Technically we don't know if it uses the One X screen or not.

I certainly read the articles looking for it. ATM there is no mention of whether or not these use LCD2 tech. But I hope they do.

Nokia was never really huge in promoting Windows Phone in itself, but rather the actual devices. The phones don't even have branding on the back.

"there has been no phone that has truly embodied the promise of Windows Phone."

Damn HTC throwing punches Nokia's way! LoL

HTC is just doing the smart thing and bet on a platform that will be in a few hundred million homes in a year or two.

The lime on silver is fresh, haters be damned. Not Nokia-level design, but still a worthy effort.

I fucking LOVE how WP8 is inspiring the phone companies to put colors back on phones again
