Was searching through random video game projects and stumbled across this Unity game called M.A.V and decided to check it out and their goal is to pretty much create ChromeHounds in Unity. It doesn't look visually pretty right now but their mind is in the right place and so far this is the furthest a ChromeHounds like game has made it onto the PC.

You can actually try the current build right now if you want but keep in mind it is very rough. They have a link on their page as well as a blog for updates.

I saw this mentioned today in a thread about mech games, and almost made my thread about it before finding this one. MAV has come a long way since this thread was first posted - It's sporting an improved Borderlands-esque cel shading style, procedural terrain generation, and quite a few parts.

There's also a free demo available at the developer's web page.

We might roll out a new thread with more information and whatnot. Certainly worth it.

I would kill for a Chromhounds 2. Or really even to be able to play 1 still. The stuff the did with multiplayer was amazing.

I think anyone that even touched ChromeHounds would actually kill someone for another one or just to get the first one back.
