Yeah, though I think Killer 7 might have done ok. Then again Killer 7's budget was probably about 10-20x the budget of all their other games.

And the same applies to Siren too right?

Would be cool, but despite MS's mistakes I honestly can't see them being stupid enough to fund a super tiny developer with tons of money to make a big game all by themselves. Maybe if Sakaguchi headed the project through Mistwalker and Grasshopper just did the programming, but on their own? I'll believe it when I see it.
Suda's quickly making a name for himself in hardcore circles, it'd be a pretty solid PR move I think, plus more JP content rarely hurts... I mean, MGS threw cash at Miz and he hasn't had a commercial success since the Model 2 days of Sega Rally/Manx TT. Or look at Artoon. Or caVia. Or Scarab. Or move to the west and look at developers like Silicon Knights, or even Rare arguably. I could definitely see an alliance with Grasshopper, MGS has certainly made dumber moves before.

As is though, MGS is looking like about the last hope for Kurayami getting made... there's certainly no other major JP publishers out there funding the investment needed into small developers with questionable returns.

I don't think MS would pay Grasshopper to develop a game for X360 but who knows. These guy's games are only known in certain circles of the hardcore community so it wouldn't be of much impact.

I wanted to see Kuruyami become a game but oh well.

I think the Siren games were fairly low budget and sold ok in the 50k+ range. If you meant the US version, I have no idea how that sold but I would guess poorly. Still doesn't excuse them for not bringing #2 over.
