Ask me about the GAF Notebook
So the CyanogenMod community has been really busy this week! The website got a full overhaul from the ground up, and now rightfully supports mobile!

This week also saw CyanogenMod 10.1 based on Android 4.2.2 finally hit stable at least for some select devices. Obviously more devices will slowly hit stable in the coming weeks!
Finally Koush a legendary Android dev announced info on his latest project called Push SMS. The goal is for it to be a stock SMS client for CyanogenMod and to be able to send encrypted messages to other users. It's also suppose to have hooks to support 3rd party SMS clients like GoSMS.
You can read more here on the Google+ Post about PushSMS, but here is a quick quote...

Out with the old, in with the new – today we are launching the much needed refresh for our homepage.
Taking some inspiration from the Holo-light UI, the team at Glitch Agency (www.GlitchAgency.com) has come up with the clean, fluid and modern site that you see. This design also adds a much needed dynamic layout for easier navigation and reading while mobile.

Anyways, TL;DR. I've built out a secure/push based messaging plugin for CyanogenMod. Messages between two CyanogenMod will be encrypted end to end and sent over GCM. It's built into the framework; so it works transparently, even with third party apps. (This is actually one of the cooler points IMO, and I do a lot of testing with GoSMS, etc)
It's basically PGP (encryption + authenticity) for text messages, built into the system.
