Making random shit up with no care nor foresight, always abusing the same clichés, starting another series on the side and focusing on that one while abandoning the previous one right up to the crap ending (and then, the cycle repeats with the new series, naturally)...
I don't know how much of all that should be blamed on Urasawa himself (I suspect Nagasaki's influence is a major factor), but he certainly lets it happen, at the very least.

I still enjoy Billy Bat but I definitely agree that it could be shortened and not dragged out. I've had zero issues with any of his other series besides the ending to TCB. He can do better than Monster Kingdom honestly but that would definitely be a guilty pleasure.

Gin Tama will be missed.

Toriko still isn't doing the numbers OP/Naruto do as far as volume sales. I wonder if they'll hit a peak soon and always stay around the same amount of copies sold?

Not that it matters, Kishi and Kubo will return for another series but I'd rather have some new creators lead the way.

Maybe it's numbers will pick up if both Naruto and Bleach end around the same time and those fan bases are looking for a new series to latch onto

Gintama pls. Sorachi is definitely running out of ideas for Gintama. What hasn't he done already.

Ran to Haiiro no Sekai 27

Goddamn. The artwork in this series is amazing.

One Piece (gave up on waiting for better scans, what the hell is wrong with this week man argh)

Law's the only one that's screwed, and there's no sign of any help coming. Starting to get worried for the guy.

Also, I really don't know what to think about the Law/Mango fight being off-screen. I get that Mango's power is still a "mystery", but I really really want to see Law actually fight. One-shotting Vergo doesn't count.

I am sure you guys get this a lot, but OP said it was okay to ask for recommendations so here goes. I am a male who loves sports and action. I will try to make a concise list of my interests and what I am looking for. Thank you for any and all help!

Thanks again!
Everyone already said a bunch of good ones so I'll stop there, but just saying, asking for recommendations is always always welcome!

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"

Yea, Law vs. Doflamingo being off screen is the worst thing about this arc in my opinion. I really want to see them fight and it's kind of a letdown with the build up to it and the history the two have with each other.

That was probably the best One Piece chapter in a while.

And what's with all the Gin Tama ending talk? Because it's near the end of rankings?

Better scans of Naruto & One Piece are out.

One Piece

Dat Mango past tease. I really hope that not all of the Law/Mango fight is off-screened, though the fight will probably be interrupted before Law gets his ass handed to him.

I assume that the chinese leaks scared the other providers from leaking as early.

Also, don't give in! You're just rewarding the shittiness :/
But it's been so loooo- well how about that. Just my luck, seems like the good stuff are out.

Not that I can, uh, find them. Because I can't.

I still refuse to read the "better" scans because its still rewarding the ones who made the super shitty stuff :/

Little Witch Academia (oneshot)

Who do I have to immolate to get a full series for this?

Based Sucy. I liked how she was initially slightly adversarial and had to be won over rather than being all hugs and evil grins right from the outset.

B=Witch

Based Sucy. That rotten ol' Diana will be no match for the girls now.

In other news I'm devastated that Shinoda is no longer part of AKB48 (I'm not even a AKB wota...).
Maybe we'll get more "super interesting" photoshoots now, that's still something (like in the latest Young Jump double issue).

Namaiki na Ryouken no Shitsukekata 1

Usually avoid the police and yakuza etc type stuff but I thought since I have no other new manga might as well. Problem with them is they get too detail oriented and tons of family groups and often the same type of basic plot with drugs and violence and I just don't usually like it, sadly some of that is still here, but it has some true bl maybe so might as well continue.

Rooftop escape was entertaining and funny especially what happened when the classmate showed up and had a conversation on the other side while they continued, good scenes. Just wish it wasnt 12 pages, could have easily attached it to the previous chapter.

What an odd chapter, started off pretty bad and finished up kind of in an ungood manner. Certainly not the type of chapter someone should do at such a critical point in their manga. Action set piece art moments are good, but then everything else is lacking.

I think Kodansha is feeling pretty good about picking up SnK. Well, they've probably been feeling that way for a while, but still.

Shueisha made a huge mistake turning down Attack on Titan. Maybe now they won't be so weary of ultra-violent, horror series that look like they were drawn during a lunch break.

I would be surprised if Attack on Titan wasn't the 2nd best seller by the end of the year.

That's probably what the World Wide Contest is for. They're probably hoping people are more likely to enter that than they are any of their other contests. From there they can do a Murata/One type situation, team up a strong artist with a strong writer.

Its almost assured at this point. The only manga that can compete on that level for #2 is Naruto and Kimi ni Todoke, and both are getting easily outpaced by Attack on Titan right now. Doesn't help either that both Naruto and Kimi have seen much lower sales this year than last.

Shuuden na Kankei 01

An overworked young girl takes the last train home and meets the older train station worker. These meetings ends up being the bright spot in her days.

This is cute. Really cute. A sweet romantic story of these two meeting and being clumsy around each other.

Who knows if Shueisha would have let AoT survive long enough to get the massive anime spike it's received. Might have also impacted the level of violence and horror in the series as you said. I think being in a new magazine allowed it to survive with it's hideous art and annoying bouncing plot
